I bought what looked like enough Pork to feed a street for just £15 ...a pack of bacon for £7.50 which was fantastic... and a turkey crown which was about the same price as the "frozen asda turkey" I usually insist on inflicting on my family, but hey what a difference, no mess, no bones, no waste, perfect turkey with nothing left afterwards..the only single gripe was where did I stick my stuffing which my family love, but I even managed to stuff either end of the crown and tie it to the rest of the crown ends thus perfect stuffed turkey crown...I swear I will never inflict "asda frozen turkey on my family again, and from now on will always go to TTS for our meats. Xmas eve was a lovely trip there, they had booze lined up for the adults with mince pies and actively encouraged participation, and very kindly and generously had wrapped up small gifts for any children for xmas (what a lovely gesture) even if you arrived without the kids or did not have any they actively encouraged us to take a gift for our younger family members, how many retailers do you know do that? anyways enough from me...go see for yourself...enjoy and congratulations and thankyou for providing us with a fab xmas, we'l be back in the new year

The guys are very helpful and knowledgeable about the produce and where it comes from and what to do with it. It's great to see the animals in the surrounding fields too.

If you have never had pies from Broadhursts you are in for a treat, they have been suppliers to…read moreworkmen, locals and the pie run from work for over 35 years, and they are the very best, and the quality or recipe has not changed in all that time. They are also a fine butchers, but it is their pies which make them famous . I go out of my way to go to Broadhursts for our monthly pie treat living on the other side of town. Pork is my favourite, lovely pastry and a bit of pepper.
