I am growing my hair out for the first time and was looking for someone who was comfortable with the scissors, unlike most barbers/stylists nowadays who are more comfortable with the clippers. Manner Salon, and Angela (owner), were a breath of fresh air to my other 2 experiences from other top shops in Greater S.A. area. Angela has a great attitude and as a business owner myself I can truly appreciate what she is trying to create here in Boerne: A modern men's service with Good Ol' Texas values and attitude. The best part of the experience is that is was HONEST! So many times today's consumer is overwhelmed with the "Experience" a business offers the genuine feel disappears completely. Not here; not in her place of business! While I loved my experience with Angela I do believe I will try her other stylist as I know Angela's schedule is packed constantly. Plus, if that other stylist is good enough to work at this salon then I know I'm in good hands. I highly recommend this shop as it was a wonderful experience all the way around.

Depending on what you're going for in the style department, I can recommend both the Grooming Cream and Sea Salt spray. Highly recommend you give them a shot!!!!!

Was told that was fine and to come in, just might not have time for a shampoo. I received a text at 10:49 confirming the 11:00 appointment and was reminded of a $25 'no show' penalty. I walked in at 11:14. Receptionist said 'the stylist says there is not enough time.' I asked why she hadn't called me. "Well, was just going to but you walked in." Oh well. an hour out of my day gone. I got the impression that they didn't care. If you waste their time you pay a fine. If they waste your time, you get a shrug.

I own my business and have no time for lathery shaves, massages, pinball games and juke boxes (some think that makes a place an old-time barber shop - idiots). When you are in a hurry, want your hair cut short so you don't have to come back in a week or two, yet perfectly done, this is the place to come. Have tried other "barber" shops in the area and most are nothing but glorified salons where a haircut can take half an hour or longer and little hair has been removed. No excuse for that. This of course means if you need fast hair cut you might want to go somewhere else. The people there are also very friendly and you can start a conversation with everyone, or when I was there one of the guys showed others an awesome picture he just saw in one of the magazines you can read. The library is just next door, maybe he gets them from there. As a new service he know has someone that will color your hair, so there were two women that got that done. I will go back when I can as this is just better than the other stuff I had done before.
