Food was excellent. The waiters kind and professional. The maître d' was awful, rude, bothered and condescending. He foolishly thought we didn't know French as he berated us in front of some other guests. His mustache is about as disgusting as his attitude and his shirt reminded me of my grandmothers wallpaper, old and dusty. Ambiance was ruined by Monsieur Mauvais Mustache. I love giving good reviews, not tonight.

This is a great little restaurant if you like a variation of good food. My French isn't the best so I asked the waiter what he would recomend for my friend and I and we ended up with a Black Pork and the largest most delicious Duck Breast I have ever seen. They also have a good selection of regional wines. Situated above a poplular wine bar this was the ideal finish to a lovely evening and just a polite stumble away from my hotel, Ours Blanc Centre. Would definately visit again.

DO NOT EAT AT J'GO near Victor Hugo Plaza in Toulouse. They served my family paté with pieces of BROKEN GLASS in it!! The servers did not even report this to their management right away. They offered only "d'esolee" instead. NOPE! Never again. I am a dual citizen and have visited Toulouse over 30 times and my family lives there. I have never been served broken glass hidden inside of a dish ever anywhere in France and hopefully they won't be able to ever do this to one of their customers again. If I could give zero stars I would have. read more

The confit was probably the best I have ever had. Service was good - typical 2+ hour French dinner. My wife had chicken with risotto. Wine prices, as typical, were reasonable. Very pleasant ambiance read more

A decent meat restaurant in Toulouse with a very wide range of nice meat dishes amongst them different breeds of quality beef which apparently come from their own cattle ranches and butchers. read more

While foie gras was just OK, pork steak (in plum sauce) was really good! And it's unusual for me to say it as I'm not a big steak person. The ambiance is average and it took a while to get my steak but overall I was very happy with my main! read more

This place is a carnivore's delight, it specializes in meat dishes. Chops, steaks, beef, lamb, pork, duck... The bistro downstairs is always packed after work, but the restaurant has several dining rooms upstairs and an outdoor terrace. read more

I went to L J'Go last Friday for French tapas and I am a fan because of 3 main things. I discovered my new favorite dessert Pain Pardu. This dessert was unbelievable! It looked like French toast but once I took a bit into Pain Pardu, I was shocked how mouthwatering and delectable this dessert was! The toast was caramelized and crunchy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside! Wow! The other 2 items I enjoyed are the duck and the fries cooked in duckfat. I would definitely come back because of the dessert. The only drawback is that the restaurant is more on the higher end with the prices. Overall, the meal was delicious and worth the money because I discovered my favorite dessert. This restaurant is extremely crowded so come early and enjoy your French tapas. read more

The service is extremely low. It took as 45mins just to order. The dishes arrived after 45mins from ordering. Fried chicken breast was almost raw! I highly recommend to avoid this "restaurant". read more

I think the key thing to note for first-timers is that this is a (very) small market, but what they lack in size, they make up for in quality! When I was there, I picked up two of the strongest local cheeses (one sheep's cheese, one cow's cheese), along with the local duck foie gras which is prepared with salt + pepper only. The prices seem to be reasonable, in fact quite reasonable, for locally-grown and crafted products. I didn't get to pick up any fruit/veggies today, though expect to pick some up in a couple of days. So happy to support local producers and businesses - it's a much more pleasant and authentic experience than going to the Carrefour or Casino Marché!

Bonjour, si je dois vous déconseiller un endroit c'est bien celui-là : un cassoulet au confit de canard à 19 euros avec une viande très dure. ps : un confit ne doit-il pas etre facile à couper? une salade au foie gras sans gout ( 2 lamelles perdues dans 10 feuilles d'épinards ??? oups salade ) pour 13 euros. Je conseille, viande de qualité exceptionnelle, les producteurs du Sud-Ouest sont connus et respectés, on sait d'où la viande provient et c'est quand même mieux pour notre conscience.
