About a month ago, I went into Bayside, coin and jewelry to sell a gold necklace and some silver…read morecoins. He said that silver wasn't selling now due to some thing with the refinery, so I set them down on the counter while he assessed the gold necklace he offered me amount that I trusted him with giving me a true value. I found out later that it was way under them. Anyway I didn't do my due diligence so anyway it's my fault too but I'm not the one who stole when he paid me he laid out the money and I wanted him to recount it and when he did the $20 bill fell out in the middle I believe he was trying to pass $20 is $100 bill when I was leaving I noticed the coins were at on the counter and I assumed I put them in my bag when I got home they were not there there's only one other place it could be in that was their store I called them and they had a big resistance to my claim they finally agreed to show me the video when I came in it was blurry and black-and-white and her finger was extracting some of the view and also her fingers was on the air where I could probably see what happened I mentioned that and she just went on ignoring me I left very unsatisfied so I called and asked if I can bring someone with me to look at the video together as I've seen that video before and it was very sharp and in color and I knew I saw something on was on the area where I could probably see whether the quee I called back and said I wanted to bring someone with me to watch the video I believe they took a vantage of me because I'm a senior and they probably didn't think I would be aware of what was happening they didn't want me to bring any buddy else they were very rude and they have absolutely no customer service ability I looked on the stock market yesterday and the value of the silver coins were $87 each so they were value as close to $1000 and there's really nothing I could do about it. I talked to a few people about this and they said well they've changed management. But this is a family business my best guess is that they switch managers managements between the family, which makes it looks like it was under new management and you can trust them I think when it gets too hot, they put managements name in another relatives, leaving the impression that it would be a better.

They are extremely professional and were able to repair two pieces of broken jewelry I had. They…read morealso have a variety of new and vintage jewelry for sale. I purchased a gorgeous vintage ring that I adore. Highly recommend if you are looking for jewelry repair at a reasonable price or if you are in search of a one of a kind piece of jewelry.

I go here quite often for either buying or getting a loan. Most of the time I feel like I was…read moretreated fairly and with respect. They are a business afterall so of course they are going to want to buy items as cheaply as they can. Then sell for a less than new price. That being said sometimes they will come down on the price. I've had mostly good interactions/transactions at this pawn shop. In my opinion this is the best pawnshop in Whatcom county

Stereotypical Pawn shop. If you are looking to pawn anything, expect to get less than 1/3, of it's…read morevalue. They can't even bother acting as if they care about you as a customer. I have been to this pawn shop on a few different occasions over the years. Customer service is like night and day, depending on if you are buying or selling. For example, I had an extra portable air conditioner that I was willing to part with in the heat of one summer. I paid over $500 new. I took it in on a Sunday. They were the only place still open and they offered me less than $40 for. I said no way, which they all laughed at me as I packed this air conditioner back into my truck. They insisted I would be back. Instead, I put the air conditioner while still in the parking lot, on Craigslist and within two hours, it was sold for $240. I wasn't in a hurry but because the demand was high, it sold very quickly. I got what I wanted from it and was able to give a great price on a barely used air conditioner. No heckling, no snide remarks and didn't just sell something to a shark who is so used to getting his way, he won't even pretend as if they care about you business. Saying all that, prices on items are pretty fair. They seem to have a great selection and variety of things from electronics, tools, dvd's, jewelry and I'm pretty sure they have plenty of guns as well. My vote is 3 stars for their inventory. I am sure their prices are okay, due to the unbelievably unfair pay out, to people selling their stuff. I am recommending you take your money elsewhere. My opinion is based three deprecate and embarrassing experience's I have had over 20 years. Don't be surprised to get laughed at, if you choose to ask for at least 1/3 selling price. If you choose to sell your things that have value, be patient and sell it yourself. Get what you mostly know it's worth.
