The artwork is varied and beautiful. We enjoyed a temporary bronze exhibit before moving onto galleries that had work for sale. Between paintings and textile wallhangings, there was something for everything to be inspired by and enjoy looking at. Of particular interest was a ceiling mural in the library. There are so many images and vignettes to discover. The transition area between the Arts Center and Museum was the State Home's dining area. The black-and-white tile floor is still there and gorgeous stained glass panels are along the walls. This was an enjoyable stop during my time in Owatonna. I will return the next time I am in town.

Each month the subject of the largest exhibit area changes. It's currently one artist's tribute to the farm women of southern Minnesota, all based on meeting and observing them. I grew up on a farm and a lot of these images ring true. Many of them remind me so much of people I knew. There's also a small room that replicates an old Englishman's library or den. As you tip your head back you see that the upper walls and ceiling are an incredible mural. It probably won't take more than an hour to see everything, but you'll enjoy it. The surrounding West Hills area is beautiful. They are open every afternoon except Monday and the admission is free.

You have to checkout my photos. Or even better, you should stop in and look in person. I'm calling the gallery itself 5 stars. The artwork is incredible and the displays are very nice. Everything is laid out nicely. I'm calling the customer service 2 or 3 stars. We were both pretty disappointed. I'm averaging the entire experience out to 4 stars. The manager or the "DIRECTOR" was a combination of disinterested, stand-off-ish, unfriendly, and snobby. She was far more interested in assembling a new display with another staffer than talking to us. She couldn't be bothered to greet us or to help us or to discover our interests, guide us, or use any professional customer service skill set whatsoever. Bummer. Everything has a price on it, right? Everything is for sale, right? I hunted her down a few times to ask questions but I felt like I was bothering her. And the other person never said a word to us. Oh, well. We walked out without opening our wallets. This is the kind of experience I expect from snobby people in Downtown Minneapolis. One of the big reasons I drive all the way to Hudson, Wisconsin is to avoid this type of thing and to deal with real, down to earth, friendly people. Ooops, not here though! I'm glad I stopped in but I probably won't be back to this one unless I see a different person working inside. And if I buy something, I'll track down the individual artist on social media and buy it directly from them. -Daddy Maxx Retro

I'll admit I haven't met or gotten to know the new owners and staff due to the pandemic, though I look forward to doing so. So appreciative of the new owners taking on a new business at such a difficult and keeping an amazing gallery in Hudson! The person who I do know at Seasons is Rachel. This is where I met her and now consider her an a friend. She has helped me find the perfect gifts and art for years! I'm not a huge buyer of incredibly expensive art. But she has sent art home for me to try in my space, helped me pick out frames for prints, even come out and helped me hang art. Thank goodness for her continuity there! And her wonderful shows! They are an incredible amount of work to set and video. I will be back more as things normalize!
