The store has vastly improved since I last shopped them about a year ago. The store was a mess with merchandise scattered about and employees hard to locate. I went into the store this week to buy some clothes and was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. Merchandise was neat and smartly displayed, and employees were friendly and ready to help. read more

However, my last trip I was told flat out that certain clothes were too expensive for me. This has happened more than once. And let me be the judge of that. Then I was given unsolicited advice in how to mother my child. I also got judged when she learned my child was not potty trained. I have honestly tried avoiding conversations with the store owner because her judging me has been happening more often. I understand she also gets customers who do not stay on top of their kids and leave messes, but I have consistently had them pick up after themselves. She must have me mixed up with someone else who never does that. Or she takes one look at me and makes who preconceived judgment calls about me. Honestly, I am starting to look at other baby shops. I will travel up to 45 minutes versus the 3 minutes if I can avoid another uncomfortable conversation with her.

I used to think it was just clothing for middle-aged women, but don't let the age of the sales clerks fool you--there is clothing for the younger woman, too. I have purchased blouses here for myself and my 17-year old niece. And they also carry the ultra popular Coobie and Spanx bras. I wouldn't say that it has as many departments as a bigger store, but it has a good selection and enough sales that it's worth dropping in. Do sign up for their e-mail mailing list when you're in the neighborhood; that way you know when they have department wide sales and markdowns. I personally like buying from a regional chain rather than the huge national chains like Macy's when I can, so Four Seasons is great for me. Be aware that they carry a lot more than what's advertised on their website: http://www.fourseasonsdirect.com/

I think what we smelled was the Emerald Tea room, there was a bunch of ladies in there sitting around a table. I'd love to come back just to visit that, it smelled amazing! As you're walking around the store, you'll notice that there are lots of cute booths set up with all kinds of random affordable items in each section. There's all kinds of different types of things in the store from jewelry, household decorations, seasonal items, pictures, kitchenware, clothing, pet items, ect all kinds of different inventory! The store is huge by the way it just keeps on going. The cash register is near the front of the building but somewhat in the middle of the store. Tammy, the owner was working the cash register today. I tried to make small talk with her. I know a couple of ladies that have booth rentals here so it was finally nice to go in and check it out. I did buy a couple of items, including a "thankful" cheese platter, little red mushrooms, and a wooden soap dish. Overall, it's a really cute store and I just might have to go back and visit again next month.
