Dominic and his crew were very professional and polite, and would check with us whenever something needed to be noted or a decision needed to be made. I am a slightly difficult customer because I had some ideas about exactly HOW I wanted things to be installed with gaps to allow water vapor to escape from my basement floor. Dominic listened, offered ideas of his own, we tried a couple of things and came up with a solution that works. They are detail oriented and make sure that the structural details that are not even visible (but make a difference in the long haul), are done correctly. They don't take any shortcuts. Even though I only speak one language, they speak MANY LANGUAGES, which may be handy for you. Most importantly, THEY ARE HONEST. You have nothing to fear about leaving tools or any valuables around. They do not swear, which is important if children are around, and they are always VERY respectful. They worked with 3 subcontractors, a sheetrock-painter, tiler and plumber, to complete the project. The quality of work is great. They were very cooperative with my many demands (a girl has to have it the way she wants it). They were very respectful and accepted the fact that I knew a little bit about what I wanted (having a male contractor accept that a woman (me) knows something is rare). Over the years, we've purchased paint (they do an excellent job matching colors--just bring in a sample), propane refills, flowers, garden supplies, hardware, and even our Weber gas grill, which they assembled and delivered. It's rare that I can't find what I need, and when I do need assistance, someone is always nearby to help. They also have several convenient locations in the area, with ample parking at each. Fortunately, he was able to come the next day and replaced all four springs ( 2 on each door ), inspected, adjusted and lubricated rollers and pulley system. Jake then showed me that the gears that drive the chain system on top of the motor ( manufactured in 1999 ) were wearing and will need to be replaced in the future. I appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell me in doing the repair now, but rather said when it breaks, to call him ( he said the gear assembly could last months or even a year or two ). Tri-Boro Garage Doors is a small, locally owned company from Northborough. Jake may not have a fleet of fancy ( or expensive trucks ), but he is insured, experienced, honest, reasonably priced and has number of very positive reviews ( mine now included ). Given my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tri-Boro Garage Doors and will definitely contact Jake when I need my garage door serviced.
