His salad had a lot of chicken on it and they had several low fat dressings which surprised me. (If you know the south you know why I'm surprised at that.). The only downside was that we weren't aware that our order would take over and hour, but not enough of a downside to deter us from going back. I particularly loved the way the staff was with the customers, asking about their families and such. Shows me that this is a beloved local staple. If you want to be able to pick your own fresh fish, have them clean it and then fry it for you (or you could have them cleaned to go), this is your spot. Just plan to wait about an hour or more. The whole time I was there (Friday evening), I only saw 4 other customers in line or inside & there was at least 4 people working, so it's not like they were swamped with orders or shorthanded. That long & for that much money, it had better be a 5 star meal. I get home & see there's 2 sandwich style clamshell styrofoam containers & a single 4 ounce styrofoam ramekin. I opened the ramekin & the Mac & cheese did not look appealing at all. I tasted it & there was pretty much zero flavor. I can't tell you when I've had Mac that bland. I opened the side of fries & there might've been about 20 fries. The serving wasn't much more than a McDonald's small fry for comparison. I opened the wings & they were average size & looked pretty decent (by now I'd fully anticipated the little parakeet wings like Zaxby's). I tried them but was definitely not impressed. The sauce, Sweet & Hot, was mildly sweet but no spice or heat at all & it tasted like basic Kraft sauce off the grocery shelf. For the cost & time I could have spent another 10 minutes & driven to Florence & gotten better food & bigger servings for much less $$. I really hate that it was such a bad experience, especially after the previous less than stellar experience. I love small businesses & really had high hopes for something new for Sumter.

Got the 6 wing and fries plate, with Parmesan garlic upgrade. Massive amount of fries - as pictured, I have already eaten nearly half in the car on the way home. Added a soul roll, great value. Blazing sweet wings are terrific - large, plump wings perfectly sauced. Fries very tasty -- will use "extra hard" option next time to add crsipness to offset the wet Parmesan garlic -- which was also delicious! First bite of soul roll was divine - Smokey and savory. Unfortunately ate a bit dry as I went on ... would love a mustard sauce next time (rather than teriyaki jerk?). Very pleasant people, well packaged, with napkins. Thank you!
