I had something in mind (bluebonnet field), but they really rolled with the idea and found us the perfect location! What I like most about Jared and Paul is their enthusiasm to take the best possible pictures all while making sure the client was also having an enjoyable time (which we did!) We spent the entire afternoon with them, finding new locations to shoot. We weren't locked into any particular spot, which we were really appreciative of. While they clarified with us that they had only recently begun their photography business together, their photos proved they had a true talent for this and in no way did we feel like we were with amateurs. They were professional and the photos speak for themselves. (Amazing.) At first I thought she would be a joy to work with but we had scheduling conflicts from day one and there was a contract discrepancy about an engagement session. ***Please note that she is a dance mom and will not be available many dates due to a full load at dance competitions and this is why it was so hard for us to agree on dates*** On 3/19 she informed me that she is pregnant (a month and a half after we signed the bridal photography contract) and gave us the option to cancel because as she stated, "lots if brides freak out over things like this." I told her that since it seemed like we've had so many scheduling conflicts that we would like to get our deposit back and find another photographer. She agreed and said she would mail the refund to our house. Now Ashley has decided that she can't refund our deposit for reason of, "you signed a contract." That is understandable. However, she is the one that gave us the option to cancel due to the circumstances at hand. She then retracted and told us that instead of a full refund she would give us an engagement session for $175 and refund the other half of our deposit. That doesn't work out either. There is no mention of an engagement session in our contract nor is a regular session with her $175. She has since stopped responding to my emails and texts. I received a text from her yesterday once I requested that she send us a cancellation contract. Her response was, "I will get something drawn up" but I have not heard back from her. I would appreciate it if she did the right thing and honored her refund.
