Several months ago I slipped and fell trying to get into my tub to take a shower. I was terrified that it might happen again so I began looking into safer options. I was referred to Talberts by a very close friend who spoke very highly of their work. The owners personally came to my home to discuss my options and they helped to guide me through what I was afraid would be a daunting process. They were professional, friendly and their quote was very reasonable. From start to finish they were great. I now have a walk in shower with grab bars and I feel very safe. I had them replace a pipe under the bathroom sink, this was done adequately. Next they replaced…read morecarpet in the bathroom with vinyl tiles, this was done very badly. A row of the tiles doesn't match the alignment of the others, and there are gaps between the tiles, and between the tiles and the wall, the tub, and the door landing. There are also two areas behind the toilet that weren't covered at all. I was charged an additional $1,3000 so that a so-called specialist could be brought in to finish the floor. They also brought in a ladder to look at doing a project in the kitchen and left it in the house. I told them it was still here and put it by my driveway for them to pick up. it took them days to get it. Twice they were scheduled to do the floor work and didn't show up or call to say they wouldn't. This was an expensive mistake.
