I've been to two other locations on Staten Island for vape gear, and this is by far my favorite. It's a great place, and the owner and employees make you feel very comfortable and welcome. It's a nice, large, shop with plenty of lounging room, and extensive tasting bar and even a pool table. My husband isn't as interested in vaping as I am, but I think I'll be able to get him into this shop with me! If I wasn't so busy with work and the kids, I'd be in there all the time I think. Needs a tiny bit of work on the selection for gear, but I have full confidence that the owner will get there. He was a friendly guy, who displayed an interest in mine, so I'm sure he's been interested in other's gear as well to know what to get into stock. He wasn't someone just trying to cash in on a growing industry. He seemed to be one of the owners who are genuinely interested in all things vaping, and therefore in a position to actually help his customers, not just sell them things. A+ place! Place is awesome. When I travel for work around the US I tend to check out vape shops, and this is one of my favorites (and is around the corner from my house which is a double plus). Besides having a good variety of things for both beginners and more advanced vapers the staff is extremely friend and don't try to upsell you. The prices are very comparable to online for most things, so I would def recommend checking it out. J&A is the place to go! Went to get my first vape to work on quitting smoking, walked in to a greeting and extremely friendly and helpful service. They're absolutely stocked with all kinds of stuff for experienced vapers, but more than happy to help first timers like myself. In addition to helping you find what you need, they have a huge variety of flavors and allow you to sample them as well. Went home with one yesterday and came back today for more, sat and sampled a bunch and walked out with two amazing flavors. Definitely give Unicorn Blood a try. This is hands down my favorite vape shop on Staten Island! it is a full blown lounge with snacks, drinks, and recliners to watch the games on, in addition to being a wonderful atmosphere where you can smoke your pens with ease and try many new flavors! I hope they get some stronger nicotine varities in, at least a few 24/30mg ones would be nice, but the tank and battery selection was election for a rookie like me. They even promptly no questions asked refunded and exchanged a broken tank for me, even refilling the ejuice that I had already filled the broken one with! The atmosphere is extremely friendly, it is a young crowd, there is a pool table and they even have clowd blowing competions. In the past I had to go to my friend's shop in Brooklyn, MoVapes, to get service even approaching this level. Now though, I have a new vaping home right in my backyard. Ever since I visited J&A for the first time I knew I would never have to visit another vape shop again! The selection is amazing, from their Vape kits to the ridiculous amounts of glassware they carry. They are always experimenting with new juice companies and flavors which makes for an excellent variety. The lounge aspect really serves its purpose with the spacious floor layout and comfortable seating, I find myself in the store long after I've made a purchase. I actually laugh at people who like this shop, besides the fact that they have a fair amount of knock offs selling as real and they are just nasty most of the time; hey don't get me wrong I've been in there a few times and the worker was friendly but 8/10 times they are nasty. A great selection and a big area. Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience. I came here because of a reccomendation from a friend. I walked in around noon and was completely ignored. It was not very busy only two other customers. Even after one customer was gone still no one asked us if we were being helped or if we needed help. We finally got the attention of one of the employees who was not very helpful. Bought almost 60$ worth of items and was never asked about our membership. As we were walking out of the door we realized they didn't give us an item and had to go back for it. I was really hoping for a better experience because I have heard good things about the place and the customer service but I just left severly disappointed. read more
