My family and prior businesses used Catherine's accounting services, MFL Accounting over several years. In my experience, communication during active tax preparation periods was often inconsistent, and it was difficult to get timely responses when questions or issues arose. Filings and follow-ups were most often completed after original due dates or extended deadlines, often in the context of last-minute adjustments. For more complex partnership and K-1 reporting, obtaining clear explanations regarding allocation methodology and structural treatment within the return was limited, which made it more difficult to fully understand certain aspects prior to filing deadlines, creating additional challenges. I ultimately needed a more structured workflow with clearer documentation review, stronger organization, and more consistent communication, so I transitioned to another provider. After switching providers, I experienced a significantly more structured and responsive process, particularly in terms of communication, clarity, and efficiency.
