It's clean, seemed pretty new and wasn't crowded when I went at 11:00 am. Can't attest to how crowded it is during the mornings and evenings. Not sure if this is the standard for Czech gyms or just Fitness Kotva, but you have to have an extra pair of clean shoes just for the gym. You cant work out in the shoes you walked in with. A bit weird for me, but I complied. You must also have a towel with you and can rent one for 45-50 crowns if you don't have one. There is a 100 crown cash only deposit for a key to a locker and the day pass fee was 180 crowns (about $9.00 USD) which is pretty cheap. This gym is located on the fourth floor of the Kotva department store. Walk into the store and take the elevator up and the entrance will be on your left when you exit. If you're working out outside of store hours, there is a side door that will connect you directly to the elevator.

State of the art equipment, nice hardwood floors, towel service and complimentary bottle of water (not sure because I was a guest at the Buddha Bar), great views, and a good looking crowd. I was recommended the Jin yoga, but the class was held mostly in Czech and I couldn't really relax. I switched to Vinyasa, which was supposed to be taught by a California teacher. First time I arrived, the teacher never came and we were sent home. The second time I arrived, the class was held by a substitute teacher who barely spoke English (there was no previous warning about the substitution). Three attempts are just enough. I'm never going back and definitely don't recommend Karma Yoga regarding the supposedly English classes.

Here, you work to improve the weak points. Think Rocky Balboa. This is a no frills workout and that's what I like about it over other centers.
