Sri Lankan Curry House is located in a renovated cellar very convenient to náměstí Jiřiho z Poděbrad metro stop. Staff speak the check and English. They seem to have a number of different categories of food preparation (curry, fried noodles, biryani, Sri Lankan flatbread, and wok stir-fry) with a choice of different vegetables, chicken (with bone), pork, tuna, calamari, or shrimp.
I tried the set menu, which comes with a huge amount of white rice, pappadum with a spicy onion chutney, and small bowls each of a vegetable curry, dhal, pork curry, spicy onions with sausage, and a "vegetable" salad that was slightly sweet and contained mostly fruit. It was a huge amount of food for 180 Kč. Most of the menu items indicate the you can choose a level of spiciness; I was not asked for the spice level and as it is a number of small samples of different things, I am not sure if they are able to customize the spice level on the set menu. In any case, it was quite tasty and the pork curry and spicy onions were the perfect level of spice for me. I will keep this in mind when looking for South Asian restaurants. I'm looking forward to trying the flatbreads.
