It's kept up nicely, has cute little hidden decorations along the course and the people who run it are absolutely the best. They're super friendly and helpful. Maybe drives and people are the same...the harder you try, the worse the shot ends up. (Tee boxes and fairways are great here. Tee boxes were aerated recently, but plugs were all gone. Center cut of fairways is narrow in places, but that makes it fun!) Playing from the tips, I can score in the 80's here, but scoring a long term friendship with people I care about seems to evade me. (Low scores at this course are generated by playing smart. With lots of creeks and water your shot selection needs to include several layups and specific yardages to put you in a good position to hit the green.) I can usually read a green better than I can read a person. However, the greens here are tough. You first think it will go left, but then you walk it and maybe it will go right, so you don't give up the cup and run it 4 feet past the hole to the right. (Sometimes you just have to go for it, even if failure is imminent.) A lot of people don't understand golf. A lot of people don't like golf, or those that play. That's ok...I don't understand a lot of people. Love the bridges, scenic views, and an obviously well cared for track.

just now NEW…read more The course is great. What was the opposite of great was the general manager Bob Bales. He accused my boys and two of their friends of leaving scuff marks on a green. As a result, banned them from golfing there ever again. On top of that, he notified the youth on course director and she has notified other courses in the area with our kids names attached. As a parent I was obviously concerned. It turns out nobody actually saw them do it and it could have been any number of players on the course. At worst, this could have been a lesson for the boys along with a warning. (They claim they did nothing) This course manager does not support youth in the game and I hope you support the kids by choosing another course to play.

But no one mentioned it when we paid $78. ugh... AND we had a 9 hole rain out from 2024 and guess what? they said it was expired. FU, nothing on the rainout ticket stating that. yes, that's a bunch of BS. Glad its not on our normal rotation and it shouldnt be on yours.
