It was my first swim meet to watch and I got to see the swim building. I have to admit the swim area is quite nice. Watching felt comfortable and seemed to be very nice. The swim building actually blended in to the overall campus architecture. I watched the meet and it lasted around 3 hours. There is no coat to attend the swim competitions. One drawback is the only food onsite is three vending machines on the first floor. There is nearby parking but I missed it as I had no idea which part of the building to go in so I ended up parking on a nearby street only to realize as I walked around the building.

We visited the Neil Armstrong statue in front of the physics building. Then we walked around the campus eventually ending up in the student union. The beautiful campus was alive with students walking to class and cherry blossom plants blooming in the spring. In the student union we saw the Edgar Degas statue collection, several art galleries, and the magnificent architecture. If you're looking for a nice place to spend a spring afternoon, Purdue University is a great place to do it.

The campus is pretty big and many buildings to honor alumnus, who had great efforts, and achievements throughout their lives. The food court was in the basement and omg so many good options to choose from. I completed my masters online and I wish I could of been on actual campus it is that beautiful! The food court reminds you of a mall with so many options to choose from. It also has a bowling alley for students and visitors, which I thought was very unique. The hotel they have on the Campus is just amazing! It's very clean and very good customer service. Your basic college visit on one of these special days is lots of talk saying how the school is so great, a few tours and then some unstructured time where you can ask questions. The main presentation was short and sweet. It covered the important points without overdoing it. We all had a good laugh when the PowerPoint presentation stopped and there were technical difficulties with the equipment. We had a vivacious and very talkative tour guide who covered lots of the basic questions and gave my son some good insights. All in all it was a good experience. One star for the dumb ass who asked how much tuition cost. Um you look that up BEFORE you visit the college!

Next week it will be 29 years since I graduated from DePauw, and this was only the second time I've…read morebeen back since then. A lot has changed, and yet some things are exactly as they were from 1986-1990. A few things I noted: * Some of the fraternities from the 80's haven't survived (my own included), as well as a few of the sororities. When I attended, DePauw was about 75% Greek, and although that percentage may be a bit lower now, the school is still has a way above-average percentage of students who are affiliated with a fraternity or sorority. Something to keep in mind if you're considering attending DePauw. * The old Marvin's is no more, but the new location still has the GCB's that I ate constantly. I was actually more partial to the Marvin's burritos. * The "downtown" scene (such that it is) is much more developed and high-profile than it was in the 80's. We rarely had a need to go downtown for anything except a haircut back in the late 80's, but now there are restaurants, shops and lots of other things to see. If I make it to the 60th anniversary of my graduation, I promise I'll visit again and write another review.

I was going for my degree in I.T. but gave up when I took a class with Adrew Gibbs. The class wasn't going to bad except for the sim labs not working half the time and having to listen to him ramble on for 2 1/2 hours about IT in, which he isn't trained. The topper was the midterm exam. We had 3 men in the class that were all over the age of thirty and he gave us 3 a different test than the rest of the class. He made sure all 3 of us failed all three midterms exams. The kids in the class all had an easier test and they as I was told were succesful on all three tests.

Everything was pretty easy from parking to setting up my table inside the Campus Center. The signage was great, especially since my gps was acting up and I was just going off my 10-year old memory of where stuff is. I had a lot of great interaction with students and I'll definitely be back for upcoming recruitment fairs. It looks like there's been a refresh to campus (at least the campus center) since I was a student a long time ago, but it looks nice. I visited the coffee shop inside the campus center and got a snack from the little convenience store on my way out. Everything was very convenient. From what I could tell, you do most of your ordering at the coffee shop/restaurants at a kiosk and then pick it up when it's ready. That's definitely different but I can get on board with that model of service.

I recently had a meal here at the student union at Butler University and the service was terrible…read more I'm not one to complain or be a so called "Karen", but the service was terrible and I can't emphasize that enough. First off, the lady who was running the ice cream/dessert area kept giving people nasty looks and wasn't the nicest. She took away the machine early which didn't allow other people to enjoy ice cream, which probably is one of the best things here since their food isn't all that. Overall the experience at the student union was very unpleasant and I hope to see it improve in the near future as I will be back to see if it has. Thank you for taking time to read this.
