Students are completely unprepared for college. No math above algebra 2 for most. Very limited amount of classes, "no fail policy" so no matter how little someone does they'll still be able to graduate because Markum is far too worried about her reputation than the quality of education. Students spend a ridiculous amount of time goofing off outside instead of doing actual work. Basically no sporting, art, or musical opportunities, lessening the already small chance your child will get a scholarship anywhere. Most of their graduates have gone on to do very little besides community college, with very limited exceptions. This senior class was denied a prom out of pure spite before covid 19 was even an outbreak in China. Discipline is just about non existent, there have been actual shooter threats and a 19 year old beat up a middle schooler to the point he was apprehended by police and they were all welcome back. Incredibly incredibly poor quality of education, people who graduated from there often don't even know proper grammar rules like "an" in front of vowels, or what's the right "your" or "their" to use. Most of the teacher's aren't necessarily awful, admin just won't let them preform their job to the fullest due to the fact no one can fail so everything is incredibly dumbed down or even falsified. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Worst school experience ever. Hated every second of high school. read more
