Recently I've been having treatment with Madeleine Zagni, who quite simply worked wonders after…read moreeven the first rolfing session. I'd never experienced this technique before and was unsure what to expect. She immediately put me at ease and noticed where she could help, taking great care to patiently and deftly relieve years of tension and poor circulation (as a result of arthritis in my knee) As I await surgery she has helped me improve and maintain flexibility and mobility. I'd reached a point where I was feeling desperate to move more fluidly but the pain with prohibitive. With a combination of her exceptional technique and physiological insight she has released me from a sedantry and restrictive lifestyle, reduced pain levels and increased my mobility in ways I might I have only dreamed a few months ago. Another huge benefit has been, by working to increase function in my legs, she has also significantly improved my blood pressure, which had become a concern. We decided to test it in one session so I took readings before during and after a treatment, with astounding results: Before; 151/94, During: 144/81, After: 116/64. Admitedly, to begin with, it could be uncomfortable at times, but it was so worth persevering as the results speak for themselves. I simply can't recommend Madeleine enough to offer expert, considerate, life changing treatment. Her knowledge, as a multi-disciplinary body worker, is exceptional and I have a new lease of life! I had a course of 10 rolfing sessions with Madeleine last summer, and was very impressed by her and…read moreby the technique. My issues were tight ham strings, short Achilles tendons and minor low back pain. Any slight discomfort during sessions felt constructive, change that's for the better. I was particularly aware of Madeleine's care, concentration and focussed attention, and how she minutely observed my posture and movements before and after work. The clarity of her explanations gradually helped me to understand something of how I had been holding and using my body, and how we were together working on improving that. It seemed to be a short-cut , achieving change that would have taken several years of yoga stretches to accomplish. I came away feeling better in my body, and determined to maintain the changes she had brought about by continuing with yoga stretches and ensuring I kept up my improved posture. I'm still doing both, and very pleased with the whole experience.

I have been coming to the chiropractic centre in Clifton for over a month now after I hit rock…read morebottom with my back experiencing constant pain daily for years and I felt like I had tried everything. It had been making me miserable. At my first appointment I felt so comfortable telling Anwen all of this but even then I wasn't totally sure it could be fixed. 5 weeks on and I'm so surprised by how much my back has improved in such a short space of time, I no longer face constant pain daily - I even booked myself in for a massage to work alongside the adjustments I'd been having. I'm really enjoying all of the exercises and can feel my back and core getting stronger. I'm so glad I booked that appointment before Christmas & I do look forward to my appointments each week. Thanks so much to all at the centre!!

The Chiropractic Centre has given me my life back - best decision I ever made joining a membership!…read moreSince I was 21 I had awful lower back pain and sciatica, it's stopped me doing so many things I loved and should have been able to. Assessments, physio, nerve root block injections and even spinal surgery barely did anything for me - then I met Anwen. Regular visits over the last 5 years have helped me feel better than ever before, I'm now 31 and exercising regularly (which I would have been unable to before) - I even felt able to take up running knowing that Anwen and the Clifton team are there to put me back together whenever I need. The lovely personal touches make you feel more like a friend than a patient going to the Chiropractic Centre - I would (and have) recommend them to anyone - it will be the best decision you could make!

Mariaines is extremely talented and I knew that as soon as I felt her presence. I met this…read moreincredible woman in the San Diego Library and after speaking with her about Holistic alternatives, she offered to provide a service for me because she wanted to. She performed reiki and guided visualizations for me at a park nearby. Mind you, I've had many different practitioners work on me in the past. Those include reiki, soul clearing, and other shamanic and spiritual work. I was resonating as she was going through her guided visualizations with me. She helped me release a lot of fears and rage I couldn't let go of. This woman is very in tune with herself and others which is very important for anyone who balances chakras. I am so grateful and blessed to have met such a selfless individual willing to help others even when they are on vacation! I highly recommend her if anyone is searching for energetic healing alternatives. I am happy to say that I am finally able to move forward with my life after learning so much from her. She eliminated negative energies that kept holding me back and no longer served me. If only she opened up her own practice in San Diego I would see her weekly. Still trying to convince her ;) Thank you, thank you, thank you Mariaines!!!!

I even fell asleep a couple of times I was so relaxed. She really took the time to understand what I wanted to get out of the treatments and unlike some other practitioners I've seen where they seem to be just going through the motions I felt instantly at ease with her. Starting with a very through chat about aliments and background issues, I felt the approach was very professional with an understanding of the connection between body & mind. The massages themselves are just the right level of firm, something that was tricky to find whilst pregnant. Post-natal, Shamila understands the stresses that pregnancy, labour and the subsequent child lifting put upon the body. I also have a profession that is quite physical but unusual and Shamila had no problem understanding the issues arising from that, something I have struggled with from other massage therapists. The room is pleasant, light, warm and quiet. Another rarity! It was also easy to get to, very near a bus stop, there was parking too.
