I sought them out because I am a woman and admire women in business. Their staff is very unprofessional. 1. I called and made an appointment where I told the receptionist I am in extreme pain & need doctor attention immediately. She asked what I would like to be booked for & I said, if you have to make 2 appointment slots I don't mind paying as this is the worst pain I've felt in my life. 2. When I had the appointment the tech did NOT take X-rays. She advised the doctor I was getting a fill. This was based off of an X-ray I did during Covid 2 YEARS AGO. Due to the anesthesia, I didn't feel anything in my mouth but when I was leaving the office I said- I still have the splitting pain & feel a hole in my mouth. I was brushed off & told "there isn't a hole anymore, you don't feel that" 3. Once the anesthesia wore off, the headache was twice as bad. I drove back to the Doctor and insisted she take a look. Only after that did she say "OH WOW YOUR TOOTH IS BROKEN! I'm surprised you're able to function" and quickly prescribed medicine...that was heartbreaking for me that I had to come all the way back to miami to plead for medical attention. 4. She asked and reviewed the notes with the staff and realized anesthesia and directions were applied without due diligence. 5. I was told by the receptionist I didn't have insurance which resulted in a $350 bill FOR THE WRONG SERVICE. I have gone to 2 different dentists in south Florida. BOTH took X-rays before making any steps. BOTH listened to what took place and were alarmed that anesthesia and services were administered prior to an X RAY. It took a different practice 5 minutes to confirm I had GREAT dental coverage & informed me I should confirm not being double billed. The pain and lack of medical professionalism is a SHAME! I am so heartbroken as I am a professional woman of color and wanted to support their business however, I am beyond disgusted with the way I was treated.

One night several years ago I was referred to Dr. Skaff after I cracked a filling eating a chicken sandwich (pronounced: "san'weesh" in Miami) which sent huge amounts of pain into my jaw. This was not pleasurable, I can assure you! Without ever meeting him before, Dr. Skaff met me at his office, during his day off and fixed me up. I've been a loyal patient ever since and tell everyone that there is not a better dentist out there, period. Dr. Skaff (he prefers the less formal "Dr. David" to his patients) and his staff are top notch and I really should put all of them in my last will and testament for putting up with me over the years!
