Came to the store today with the intention of buying a GT bicycle. Before even getting there, the deal was done in my head and I was ready to part with my cash.
Had the "pleasure" NOT! of being served by one of the younger guys. Going by their web site staff page, I believe it was Keelan. What an obnoxious pompous poor excuse for a human being. I am new to riding cycles after many many years. He was so rude, condescending and very disrespectful.
While I was there, another customer also was unhappy with the tone of voice and the language used. To quote what this customer said to Keelan, "I am not enjoying our conversation. You are talking to me like I am a complete f*#kwit". I seriously doubt this customer nor I am the first or the last to receive such disrespectful treatment from this guy. He clearly has a superiority complex.
I just chose to walk and not buy a thing from them. Originally I was to buy online, but I wanted to support local business. When local business has such pathetic human beings for sales people, why on earth would anyone part with their hard earned cash?!
I guess the bicycle business must be real good - that the owner(s) of Ivanhoe Cycles Megastore can afford to have a sales person that not only insults current and new customers, but drives them away without making what would have been a guaranteed sale(s). read more
