However, I think I would come here even if it was further :). Their pizzas are excellent: the dough, sauce, and toppings. Especially the dough, it has a nice bite and chew to it. It's a takeaway place, there's really only two tables outside and none inside. I almost always get the mortadella rucola. It's got a good balance of grease and greens! The grease makes it taste good, the greens fool me into thinking pizza is good for me. If they had a space to eat in, I would love it even more. As it is, its the perfect takeaway for home, or (even better) takeaway to the park on a summer day. Hit up the Meny for some wine on the way.

It is only a take away place but it is worth the visit. Call ahead and the pizza is ready in no more than 15 minutes, it does not matter the time of day. The one reason why I also love this place and will come even if I move to Nørrebro is the fact that the guys taht work there are sweet and helpful. they give you a smile and take the time to say hello no matter what. Good pizza that cures any hang over served with a smile is 4 stars in my book.

I have been to Armando's about 6 times throughout the course of 4 months, and I was amazing by the superb quality of food and service. Whenever I go, I get the same thing-- Rigatoni con filetto di manzo e tartufo (pasta in truffle sauce) and beef carpaccio. The beef carpaccio is so so good! The beef itself is so delicate and melts in your mouth. The parmesan, balsamic dressing, and arugula that come on top of the beef gives the dish a great balance and really makes it special. The rigatoni dish is actually the BEST pasta dish I've ever had. I can't help but to compare all the pasta I've had since the first time I came here to this rigatoni. The rigatoni is coated in a truffle cream sauce with tender beef chunks and then flambéd with vodka in a parmesan cheese wheel so that the cheese melts all around the rigatoni. Literally drooling just thinking about it. SO GOOD! Just a short walk from Gentofte station, so you can easily commute via transportation. Not the closest to downtown Copenhagen, but it is so worth it! Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and beyond amazing food! Highly highly recommended!

When you order you always get the selection of choosing rhye pizza, which I am a big fan of. They have a good selection and they also have potato pizza, which to me as a Swede, is very exotic. ;) Everything tastes really good and natural and the flavours are genuine. They also offer grilled ciabata sandwhiches. It's a busy place but if you eat there you seem to get priority which I like. You can see they are a bit stressed, but I guess that comes with a good rep. I would've rated this 5/5 if it wasn't for Camilla S who wrote a review for Forno a Legna in Frederiksberg which made me go there and taste an even better pizza. I came in here with a friend to try the pizza and we ordered the #4 (55kr). By golly it was excellent! Fresh tasting dough and ingredients and cooked perfectly, the dough is very cracker like similar to New York style pizza. They've basically moved a block down the street, and across it. There are rumours that the old location (which is a bit larger) will be turned into a café of sorts, but for now, there's still only the one location, the pizzeria. The new location is smaller, but very well decorated, very modern and inviting, with large windows, and a few chairs to sit on while you wait for your pizza, or to sit on if you choose to eat in. But down to the important stuff: the pizzas. The boys have upgraded both the oven and the ingredients, and more power to them for it. The oven is now a real, authentic wood-fired oven, which just distributes the heat much, much better, giving that real, Italian feel. If I were to venture a guess, I'd say they've upgraded on the dough (probably the flour), too, because they're much tastier and airy. They've also added a few new things to the menu, like real buffalo mozzarella, which, if you ask many Italians, is the true mozzarella (cow's milk mozzarella is often referred to as "fior di latte", or "milk flowers" instead of calling it mozzarella). My new favourite is a simple margherita with buffalo mozzarella. It's simple, but it is almost literally a slice (or 8, rather) of heaven. I feel that they've elevated their game to almost match the standard at high-end pizza places like Mother and Bæst, but at a fraction of the cost. They still feature a few other dishes, like pastas and desserts, as well as soft drinks. Essentially, my favourite pizza place moved closer to where I live, and got even better. Happy camper!
