This place, tucked in the basement of Blågårdsgade smells wonderful when you step in. Blue taco? Yes, the tacos are blue, that's because of the blue corn they're making from, giving them a darker hue and make them different from any other taco places in town. The place is small and there are only small tables with benches, but that's the thing isn't it? Tacos are the kind of food you eat to go, or when the weather allowed, sit outside on the benches. We ordered the coca cola beef, the Baja california shrimp taco and the cactus veggie cheese taco. All good but I like the shrimp much better! The best part about this place is that they always have vegetarian (and a vegan) menus, that makes life easier from my vegetarian friends who are always left out when having tacos.

Desserts are also very rich and well prepared. The ice cream served with our cake was of high quality and much more dense than the ice cream you normally get on the side. The food is amazing. Right temperature, the right size. I got to talk with the owner and chef. A very nice American. Gave me a couple of the fresh tortillas to take home. She and her partner were both there during my visit and checked in to make sure all of the customers were enjoying what they ordered. I appreciated the interaction and that they cared whether I liked the cake. The cheesecake is served plain with a side of your choice of fruit sauce. I had the cherry cinnamon and it was incredible. I liked that the sauce was served on the side as it allowed you to choose the amount (though it's so good you will finish it one way or another. Apparently some people have been observed drinking what is left). The rest of the menu is fairly basic: salads, sandwiches and burritos. Considering the prices in Copenhagen, theirs were reasonable for a full sized meal (based on the other reviewer's photos). The burrito was also very satisfactory served with rice and bean sauce with a small side salad. The only thing I would change was the flavour of the guacamole. It was too bitter for my taste, it could use more salt and definitely some lime juice to make it more refreshing. The citrusy flavour was definitely missing there. It's a takeaway place, there's really only two tables outside and none inside. I almost always get the mortadella rucola. It's got a good balance of grease and greens! The grease makes it taste good, the greens fool me into thinking pizza is good for me. If they had a space to eat in, I would love it even more. As it is, its the perfect takeaway for home, or (even better) takeaway to the park on a summer day. Hit up the Meny for some wine on the way.
