After our first week of working with her, my wife and I were incredibly grateful that out of all possible paths, she chose sleep consulting. Our seven-month-old baby simply could not sleep without contact. She had never once in her life connected two sleep cycles together. If my wife nursed her to sleep and slithered away, our baby would be awake in 10-30 minutes, needing us to fall back to sleep. And yet after the first hour of our first night using Lexi's sleep plan, this same seven-month-old was sleeping calmly and connecting her sleep cycles. It felt miraculous. There were still plenty of bumps to tweak and navigate over the next two weeks, but once they were sorted out, our child was consistently sleeping independently during naps and through the night. One more thing that is great about Lexi--she is flexible and will tailor your sleep plan to your parenting philosophy and comfort levels. This was very important for my wife and I who leaned towards an attachment style of parenting.

I Googled Dr. Brian Weeks in order to find a physician following a trip and fall. I slammed my nose into the sidewalk and after a few days I truly couldn't tell if my nose was broken or just really swollen. Luckily, after explaining my experience and timeline the office worked their magic bringing me in the following day. I did not see Dr. Weeks, and I apologize to the consummate professional who performed the Nasal Endoscopy. My examination was painless and she didn't flinch as I sneezed a couple of times. Notably, she caught the signs and removed the instrument before I went full sneeze-twice! Whew! The office is centrally located on Camino del Rio South very near Fairmount Drive exit off of I-8. Calls back to discuss CT scan, you have no infection, that's a good sign I say, I can write a prescription for steroids (which never happened) well he mentioned a procedure could I at least talk to him about that? I'll have them call you back for an appt. To schedule that, I assume to Dr to talk about it. They call and schedule me for a procedure instead. I don't know what we are doing, why we are doing it, what to expect after doing it. Am I going under, do I eat that day? Due to the lack of medical care in general from this office I'm just cancelling. Took five phone calls due to being on hold then I'll have the scheduling people call to cancel it, never called. I explained that I wasn't at fault. They hung up. I looked them up on yelp, and there I found out that they had many of problems with customers that generated a 2.7 ranking. In fact I have never come across such poor reviews for any business. They are very unprofessional. Now, they are an affiliate of Kaiser Permanente, an HMO Medical Group, an excellent health care provider, known for the dedication and professionalism of the their doctors, nurses, and technicians. In my opinion, Amerisleep is not worthy of the association

Truly disappointed that I chose them for an oral appliance for sleep apnea. I felt like I was…read moredisregarded and was not afforded the consideration and respect as a person. I was referred to them for an oral appliance with a glowing review and was thankful that I was able to get in relatively quickly. This was early December. I was very upfront with Ven that I had already met my deductible for the year (over $3500 as I have a high-deductible plan) and that it was my top priority to get the appliance as quickly as possible so that the billing could be reflected in this year's costs for insurance purposes. Had she just told me no, that is not possible, I would have respected her timelines and chosen to go elsewhere. Instead, I was led to believe that while the timeline was tight, it would be possible. In fact, it would have been possible had she worked with more alacrity and dedication on my case. I went in and felt she was knowledgeable about the devices and process. So I initially thought I was in good hands. She noted she would get the prior auth rolling. I've done many a prior authorization for a previous job and know the processes very well, and that these are almost always automatic if you have the correct information. She had told me that it would take 1-2 days. I had no reason to believe otherwise. I decided to check in 5 days later, but no response. So I called 7 days later, expecting everything to be in order but instead was told the website was down and she can't get through to them. Ok, I understand these benefit managers have their ways of thwarting care, especially at the end of the year. I also know that with a little persistence, it's certainly possible to overcome this. So, I called them myself and surprisingly was able to talk to someone who could do the prior auth within 5-10 minutes of calling (normally it would take much longer to reach someone who can help, so the very fact that it occurred quickly indicated to me she hadn't really tried her best on my behalf; this person also indicated the website was down that day but not the whole previous week, which is when the PA should have been submitted). So, I had her join the call so she could provide the information to the benefit manager. The PA was approved. Well, I thought that would be it, she just has to send in the scans to the company that processes the appliance. I call the next day to confirm timelines and that everything is moving along and find out that the scans had not been sent at all, and that the previous day had been the last day to submit them for the charge to hit the account this year. This means that her decision to delay my case will cost me about $4000 (my deductible that will renew next year). It's not that there weren't some barriers (albeit barriers that could be overcome); it's rather that had she been in my shoes, she would have wanted a better advocate and partner on the other side, especially as I had relayed multiple times that it was my top priority to get this through before the end of the year. So her lack of consideration for me as a person will lead me to not have the oral appliance that I really thought would help me with my sleep apnea. I will look for a cheap over the counter device instead, which I know is inferior and not really approved for sleep apnea, just snoring. I really hope this review is taken to heart rather than with defensiveness (when I expressed my displeasure at the delays, it was met with patient-blaming--indicating I should have come in sooner, thus placing the blame on me for her lack of due diligence in a process with which I imagine she is very familiar. I was aware the timelines were tight (had just recently had the sleep study the week before), and I relayed this multiple times, but I really thought it could have been done had she been more concerned about my situation. I do not recommend this place as dental appliances for sleep apnea are not a unique service you can't find elsewhere and with better, more considerate customer service. Gave two stars as she did seem to know about the devices, but again, would not recommend.

After my first initial appointment which I somehow received after several attempts of contact ... including emailing Eric to finally get a returned call. I made it very, very clear to the technician diagnosing my sinuses - I could not do a sinus surgery until after June. They said fine, but I should do a (very expensive) CT scan and a sleep study in the mean time. I did the CT scan, foolishly. Afterward, I received many calls from Vicki in surgery who apparently was not informed of this fact regarding my timeline. I explained this to her-so I thought and said we would talk in June. ... Both the CT and sleep study required insurance approval. The CT after much of my own policing of the staff was eventually approved ... 50% coverage because it was out of network... (which I did not find out until later.) However, the task of the sleep study approval went off to some unnamed nurse which the staff-themselves said they could not reach. ... (I never told Mansfield's staff about this; namely because they haven't reached out to update me on their progress on their end. ... ever. It was always me trying to reach them.) But by all this time, I'd already racked up a $1,000 bill. And July came around... after weeks of trying to reach Vicki in surgery, I finally received a returned call ... she seemed chastened by my persistence... and she informed me my CT scan on my sinuses had to "redone" because it was too old now in order to do the surgery. ... She said she would look into insurance approval of a second CT. This was in July and I have not heard back. Today before writing this review I decided to try one final effort; calling all three of Mansfield's appointment lines ~4pm on a weekday- (general appointments, scans, and surgery). No one picked up ... as per usual. ... Awful, awful service. And scammed out of $1,000 ...
