When I first met CPA's Shirlene and Doreena at business event I was in the midst of searching for…read morenew tax accountants for my emerging S-Corp. Only two years in business I had already let go of my first accountant due to exorbitant charges and poor service so I had a pretty good idea of the kind of service I wanted. As a small business owner I wanted to be EDUCATED about my tax situation. It took a bit longer than I had hoped for Shirlene to get started on my 2015 taxes but in the end the value I got exceeded my expectations. At almost half the price of the high-end downtown accountant I had engaged for my 2014 taxes, Shirlene spent far more time explaining my accounting and taxes, including an invaluable, in-depth, expert explanation of my 'basis'. And when I asked her to break it down for me in simpler terms, and again in even simpler terms, she patiently took the time to slow down and speak to me on my level of understanding, with out condescension. She actually seemed to enjoy taking the time to help educate her Client. They treat me like I wanted to be treated, and like I want to treat my Clients. I'm a fan and a Client going forward. Glad to have found Emerging Business Solutions. -kt

They told me it would be a few days and then someone would call so I could pick them up, it took someone 2 1/2 weeks to look over my simple tax returns. Then I realized I never received my state return...and I check online with the state and it says it was never filed (this was today April 14th). So I called them and they said my state was rejected, but no one ever called to let me know, and they couldn't figure out why it was rejected! This place is a joke and no one seems organized or knows what to do or how to do it. My parents and another family member was not satisfied with them as well. I recommend not going here, pay extra to get them done right!!!!! Or do them yourself!!!!! I gave them one star only because I did mine online before I went to double check, and they had all the right numbers, but I couldn't file myself online because of a first time through IL filing, they don't allow e-file.
