EDITED: removed two stars. When I got into my swimming suit on my first day of vacation (48 hours…read moreafter the sugaring) I realized there were TONS of spots of hair on my upper legs. If I was not on a cruise ship where it was hard to get shave gel and razors I would have probably just shaved. I don't know if it is because they are more fine hairs on my upper legs, but there were giant patches of hair missed. I have never had this happen in my standard waxing experiences. I was shocked how much hair was left on my upper legs (baby fine hair) and over both knees. If this is a difference in sugaring versus waxing I will definitely have to stick with waxing as it looked like I had no hair removal done at all in big patches. Sooo bummed. ---- Original review: Overall a good experience. They were friendly and helpful making my appointments and the facility is clean. They're also easy to find. I had a number of services head to toe so they split my time between two estheticians. The first one was good but I felt like she talked almost too much. It felt forced and I am sure she was just trying to distract me but I just kinda wish I'd have been able to lay there quietly. I had asked to leave a strip of hair and she did but it was lop-sided and looked funny. I didn't realize it until I got home and ended up having to just shave the small area. The second girl was very friendly but was better and reading me and didn't push conversations. When it slowed down she let me sit quietly. She did a very good job and was even willing to clean up a few missed hairs by the first woman. I'm not sure I think sugaring is less painful than watching (which is what I'd heard and was why I tried it) but overall it was a good experience. If I went back I'd ask for the 2nd girl to do my whole service. Her name was Megan but she joked that they should call her "Emily" because there's 3 Megans that work there.

My stylist forgot to reach out to me and I had to contact a different stylist to reach out to her…read moreweeks later. She was an hour late and didn't even give me the haircut I came in for. Here are my inspiration photos and then what she did to my hair. It was $275 before tip (and I still tipped 20%, because I'm a decent person). I think it's safe to say I didn't get what I came for at all. She was super excited to do my hair, so I assumed she would do it well. This was my first time in 6 years getting my hair professionally done instead of just doing it myself. I will continue to do my hair myself, as it's clear I cannot trust others to do it for me.

I booked an appointment at Salon Haven specifically with a stylist named Christina after a trusted…read morerecommendation. When I called, I was told she wasn't available Saturday but had an opening Friday at 10:30, which I booked and received a confirmation text for with Christina. When we arrived, no one introduced the stylist or mentioned any change. My daughter was taken back, and we went through the entire appointment under the impression she was with Christina. The haircut itself was not what was requested. My daughter brought reference photos, but the bangs were cut far too short and uneven, and the layering was incorrect. It was only after we left that I realized the stylist was not Christina at all. The business card we were handed when leaving said "Bailey," who isn't even listed on their website. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a client books with a specific stylist, they should be clearly informed of any changes beforehand. We would not have booked this appointment otherwise. To make matters worse, I reached out to the salon via email weeks ago to resolve this and never received any response. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. This appointment was for my daughter's birthday, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Based on both the service and the complete lack of accountability afterward, I would never recommend this salon.

So this year is the first time I started getting a spray tan. My friends have all done it for years…read more& constantly told me that I should try it...I am SO glad that I did! Thankfully I found Mina for my first spray tan, because she is fantastic! I got married in May & went for a practice tan first. Mina's studio is private, and she completely leaves you at ease with the whole process. Since I am a redhead, she started with a lighter shade & let me decide whether or not I wanted to go darker. I chose to go darker, & it looked amazing. Not only does she help you select a natural shade, Mina is an artist with the spray gun and contours your body for a totally natural look. Both my practice & wedding tan turned out beautifully. The next day my co-workers asked if I'd been going to the tanning bed! I feel so much more confident & look ten times better in summer clothes, plus my wedding pictures are great! My tan seems to last around a week (plus or minus a couple of days) as long as I moisturize and fades evenly and gradually...I think instead of laying in the sun this summer, I'll keep seeing Mina, so I can look great in a bikini & save myself future wrinkles :)

Let me start by saying that I've never had a tan in my life. Real or fake. I've always been…read moreextremely fair skinned and prone to burn, and until recently I never considered a spray tan. I decided to try Custom Air Brush Tanning on a whim since I have a beach trip coming up, just to see how it would look. I was really concerned that it would look completely fake, I'd shower and it would leave my skin streaky, I'd smell for days, etc. None of those things happened. Mina made me feel 100% comfortable from the second I walked in the door. Really even before that. The day before my appointment, she sent me a message to remind me of the appointment and a few instructions: how to prep my skin, what I should bring to wear during the tanning process, and what to wear after. When I arrived, she asked me what I was looking for, my experience with tanning, etc. She gave me privacy to change, and then she got started. The result was a very natural, healthy looking tan. As a previous reviewer stated, she also gave me a little extra on the tops of my arms to give it a more natural look. My first tan lasted about one week, fading gradually over time. Bottom line, Mina is extremely professional, detail oriented, and very, very good at her job. I will be back soon, and any time I want to experience the tan side of life.
