Because I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 Black Widow with a 5.3L V8 and an 8L90 Transmission, Well my Transmission went out with Less than 65,000 miles on it and I Called 20 shops! INCLUDING Friendly Chevrolet and They all said this transmission couldn't be fixed! It HAD TO BE Replaced! And that Cost was $8,000-$9,000! No matter who Did it! That's HORSE SHIT! So, I finally Found THIS Transmission Shop and They told me what the Problem was, after I explained what happened when the Transmission Quit working, and they Quoted me less than $5,000 to have it REBUILT! It took them a Week and A Half, But it was done, I got my truck back and It Runs Like BRAND NEW! It Shifts Like Butter! This shop ONLY does Transmissions! But, they Know their Shit! They're Honest and they're Fast! They Saved me More than $4,000!! I'll Never take my truck anywhere else for any Transmission problems or Issues! NEVER! Thanks Israel! I honestly have to say this is the most competent Transmission shop in town. Israel was raised in the transmission as his dad taught him.. So this guy can work on everything from 50s vintage to New vehicles...Impressive I had been told that my transmission needed to be replaced and went to this shop and it turns out it was a small little repair in the communication of electricity to the transmission.. Overall friendly service, nice people but please don't believe them. They try to load you up, selling you used parts as new. They don't even check the cars carefully. I went there with a transmission oil leak, they replaced the transmission but never checked the source of the leak so I still have transmission leak. After leaving the shop for the second time i still had a leak. I went to another shop which told me that the propeller shaft is broken. I'm asking how? They should know this when they supposedly replaced the transmission. After this I will never go there and won't recommend this shop to anyone read more

Was referred here from another transmission shop, Was told it was going to be cheaper, was actually $300 more expensive When they took down the oil gasket they broke the gasket. All and all they charged me $195. I think they should have not charged me and they should have honored the recommendation from the ship that sent me there JMR TRANSMISSION. Other than that had a great conversation with the owner and owners wife, I think the oner wanted to help me but the son running the business was very corporate. read more

Actually I would give them 10 STARS! FREE diagnostic with scan tool reveals computer is not receiving information from input sensor, likely a short in the wires somewhere. Other shops wanted to charge me and one said they don't use computers. Make sure the shop you go to uses the scan tool. JR was kind, professional, timely and efficient. read more

We purchased our truck nov 9, 2015which had a transmission and billet torque converter in our 1999 Dodge Ram diesel 2500. The billet typically has a +100,000 mi/5 year warranty. Well here we sit torque converter gone bad, only 43k miles, 22 months. Had service as per manufacturer specs although his receipt says every 6000 miles!!! mfg says 30000 to 70000 miles. It went out in Calif on our VACATION !!! Costing us +$2100 to fix. His receipt says 1 yr warranty, and can only fix in Las Vegas. Do not use this shop. EVER. read more

I had a transmission put in on my classic car about two years ago. I rarely drive it and about the fourth time I drove it (this time from Pahrump to Vegas) the rear driveline dropped out. After close inspection of the driveline and u-joints, we seen the rear u-joints were not tightened. It was not a huge expense for the new U-joints, but waiting for a tow truck and paying for it to be towed was really something I should not have gone through. I called Israel to let him know what happened, but he said because of the length of time and this is not his fault, he made no attempt to help me out. Yes, it was out of warranty. Israel's Transmissions hands down has to be one of the greatest mechanic shops I have ever been to! Israel is quite friendly, knowledgeable, and honest! Their shop gets repairs done in a timely manner. They are as honest as honest can be. They are truly miracle workers, and were able to diagnose and rebuild my 1998 Honda Accord's transmission! The total cost was so reasonable, I could not even believe it! I will be taking my car to Israel from now on when I have transmission issues! 7-10-17 Paid $2,000 for rebuild. Newly rebuilt Transmission works fine. When i picked it up the A/C didn't work anymore (it did when i dropped out off). They kept it another day and fixed the A/C without a hassle. Loose ground wire. They seem to do good work however when i asked some more complicated questions about alternate repairs on another car ... which is only having a small transmission issue they were unfamiliar. Overall good impression for basic rebuilds and probably replacements but nothing too complicated Update 9-14-17 Mostly fine but it did have a problem one time it didn't stuttered and didn't seem to want to shift gears. Monitoring it to see if it happens again. Only happened once. Update 12-18-17 Trouble codes popping up for transmission. P0750 and P0751 for shift solenoid issues. Took my Cadillac CTS into Israel's because I needed new breaks a couple months back and I was referred to this shop by a fellow co-worker. It was a little of a drive for me since I live in summerlin but it was totally worth it. I thought I was going to need to replace the pads and the plates but turns out he used the old plates I had already on there and had them shaved down so they were even and smooth again. As that was happening we went across the street to the Autozone and bought new break pads to put on. It took a few hours total but the owner was kind enough to let me wait there and watch tv in the office and even bought me lunch while I was waiting! Everything is great with my breaks, so far so good and it definitely saved me money not having to replace the plates. I appreciate the honesty and I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing work on their car. It's hard to find a good repair shop that's not making up stuff or not really fixing the problem and not being truthful so as far as my experience went, it was great. read more

Where should I start, I took my vehicle to Israel's Transmission to get my transmission rebuild. The day after I picked up my SUV it started making noise, like something was loose. I took it back they blamed it on the suspension. So i got it looked at, everything is good, noise continued. I took it back for a second time, now its the muffler and they stated "we tighten it up". Drove it for a mile it started making noise again. A couple of months later it started leaking oil. I took it back to fix that and reminded him about the noise they didn't fix. A month later the transmission started to slip and the check engine light was on. I took it back, they kept my vehicle for 4 1/2 days. They said everything is good when i picked it up....after driving 2 miles the check engine light came on and it wouldn't down shift. All this happened within 5 months. F@%king fed-up with their lies, inexperience....get a lawyer..if you are looking to get a transmission stay away from this place. read more

The unfortunate thing with transmission problems is that you have to take the maintenance shop at their word on what is going on. I have taken my truck to Israel's before and when I got it back everything worked so in my mind, all is good. It's been a few years and just recently my clutch pedal would go all the way to the floor and stay there. My thought was that the slave cylinder (on my truck it's inside the tranny) because there was nothing else pointing towards anything more. From Israel's I was quoted $495 plus parts. I did check another shop but they wouldn't take my vehicle for a few days. Israel's has my truck for a day and they tell me my clutch, throw out bearing and such is bad as well as the slave cylinder. Like I said, nothing previously pointed towards a bad clutch because when it did work I had no problems shifting etc. I will say maybe it's my fault for not taking a drive to the shop to verify what's going on but I authorized the repair nonetheless. They call a day later and say all is ready. Problem #1 They only accept cash (more of an inconvenience than anything else) Problem #2 After I pay I get in the truck and the transmission will not shift into gear. The owner gets in, grinds it for a bit, then pumps the clutch several times and rolls it off the lift. Some communication in Spanish between the owner and worker took place. I was told that I will need to continually pump the clutch until everything is broken in. Yeahhhhh. My thought is that when the work was done nobody took it for a test drive to verify all was in working order and basically parked it. Problem # 3 After paying a grand for this they charge me $10 for parking!!! I picked my truck up at noon the day after they called me....and they called me when the shop was closing. All may have been on the up and up but I'm thinking things could have been a ton better. read more
