He was personable and easy to have a conversation with. He and the dentist (can't remember her name, but she was very kind) were thoughtful, patient, and explained everything thoroughly. They made sure all of my concerns were addressed. What really stood out was the personalized care. They looked at my specific needs and made recommendations that were affordable and made sense. I appreciated that they focused on what would work best for me instead of giving generic recommendations. Additionally, I need to have a crown due to a fractured tooth. I already knew this might come up because a previous dental office had mentioned it. However, that dental office wanted 2 1/2 times the amount out of pocket than Oceanic Dental. They provided a print out of the work to be done, how much would be billed to my insurance and how much was my responsibility. Best of all, they left it to me to make the decision on when and didn't try to persuade me. It was a completely pressure free experience. You can tell the staff values their patients and wants every visit to be a positive experience. Their attention to detail and genuine concern for patient care made a lasting impression. The only con here is that the parking can be difficult during very busy times. However, I highly recommend Oceanic Dental to anyone looking for a dental office where you'll feel well cared for and treated with kindness.

Very nice clean office with a decent size waiting area with a set up for water, tea, or coffee while you wait and even has what appears to be a massage chair. The ladies at the front desk are very polite and helpful in explaining all of the details of your treatment and visit. The dental assistants are very nice and cheerful and honest with you about the procedures they are performing. Dr. Wang was very nice and explained everything to me and listened to exactly what I had to say to keep me ongoing the right way with my teeth. Our whole family now has appointments to see them soon. Thanks for helping and listening.

I had a tooth extracted, one of my bottom incisors, and he confirmed wit me multiple times to make sure I was aware of the results (having only three incisors would remove my bottom midline entirely); not because he doubted me, but because he wanted to make sure I would remain satisfied with my smile in the future after the extraction, and so I could make the most informed decision. I was glad to have been able to make an appointment within the week and didn't have to wait in the waiting room long. The dental hygienist got to taking x-rays right away and did a good job about not pinching my gums or cheeks too much during the process, which I know sometimes is a struggle. When Dr. Chris came in, there wasn't any niceties exchanged, barely an introduction. It felt very short, abrupt, straight to the point, and not conversational. I've always liked going to the dentist and felt comfortable at the dentist, but I can imagine for someone who doesn't like the dentist that this interaction would not have put them at ease or made to feel welcomed. I was told I had cavities and they were able to take care of them right away. Convenient for me not to have to come back another time, so that was great! What really threw me off was that during the process, Dr. Chris just announced out loud, "Time for a break!" And dropped everything and left the room with the hygienist. I was so confused and baffled. How could they take a break in the middle of filling my cavity?? I was stressing because I wasn't sure if he hurt himself and needed to go take care of it, if he went on a lunch break, or if something else was going on. I was left in the dark, figuratively. It felt like awhile before another hygienist came in looking for supplies when she asked if I was doing okay. I said I was fine and asked if everyone else was okay. She said that Dr. Chris needed to tend to an emergency with another patient momentarily. I felt a little better after knowing that. When he came back, I thought he would at least address his absence with something like, "I'm sorry for the interruption. I had to attend to an emergency." Or a, "Thank you for waiting." But instead, I got, "Okay let's keep going." As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of transparency and helping manage expectation to help put patients at ease. A simple, "I will be back in a few minutes. I need to go help another patient" wouldn't have left me stressed out about what was happening and when/if he was coming back. We ended up getting interrupted again but this time I heard the other hygienist say, "I'm so sorry but I need you again." Dr. Chris said, "I'll be right there." And he left the dental saliva ejector mouthpiece in my mouth when he stepped out. I think he thought he'd be back right away so he didn't take it out but it ended up staying in my mouth so long I was so dried out and uncomfortable. I was tempted to remove it myself and honestly probably should have, but I kept thinking he'd be back any moment. Finally, he came back, again with no apology for stepping out. He finished up quickly and I was out. My mouth and tongue were still numb so it wasn't until the next day where I felt the grooves of the filling and I wanted it smoothed out. I called the office and they were able to get me in that same day. I was taken care of by hygienist Lynne and she was fabulous!! She was approachable, conversational, answered my questions, and checked up on how I was doing often. She helped me smooth out the rough edges of the filling so that it felt more seamless. She thanked me for coming in and told me to request her the next time I was in. I'm giving this dental office a 4/5 because of the timeliness of the appointments, the attentive hygienists, the cleanliness, and the good final product of my fillings. My major critique is just the bedside manner from Dr. Chris and the process of getting my filling. I'm hopeful and willing to give it the benefit of the doubt that it was just one bad fluke of a day. It wasn't bad enough for me to be turned away. I guess I'll see again at my 6 month appointment.

I spoke on the phone with them to explain my situation and they told me that the doctor can fix my crown at the price of $150. I decided to make an appointment to see the doctor. When I came to the office, I had already spoken with doctor Tammy on the phone. After they looked at my tooth without taking any pictures or X-rays, the doctor told me my tooth was broken. I told her I didn't feel pain nor was it bleeding. I believe my front tooth chipped off because of the tooth glue. She told me she will apply the tooth glue for awhile, and told me my crown was too thick which was why my tooth broke when I chewed on the seed. I told her my tooth was shaking and loose because I ate watermelon seeds. The doctor wanted to grind my porcelain tooth because there was apparently no problem with my tooth, just chipped glue. i didn't agree with her because the main reason i came to her office was for her to glue my tooth and make it stronger if she can. After spending less than 15 minutes with me to charge me, i was charged $150, yet my crown still the same and nothing was fixed. The only thing I received from doctor Tammy was making my tooth feel more hurt. As a doctor, she should explain the procedures clearly to the patient before doing it. otherwise if the doctor cannot do anything to help with the issue, the patient shouldn't be charged. the dentist told me my teeth was broken but still attempted to fix it without actually helping me. Why just "fix" my teeth a little bit and then charging $150 in cash only to leave my tooth to hurt even more and still shaky as before? i looked at the receipt they charged me and I didn't know about evacuation, Pat paid, Adj, and Pat port. the only thing I know that I agree to paid $150 for was to fix my crown but the doctor didn't finish or fix it. I hope my review can be read by the dentist and other patients will be treated better in the future

Of course, the consultation at the agent he designated cost $250, which was not covered by insurance, and root canal insurance was not covered. I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

With all the healthcare fraud and breeches...there was so way I was going to do that. The receptionists at ContinuEM were super nice and got me checked in within 5 mins. Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

Hi Everyone, I read the reviews here and this place is one of the best dentist in Westminster. Guaranteed and also I am a new patient here and I have insurance. It took me a while to choose a dentist place because I am very picky to who I go to because some doctors are not that great and they just want to get their job done, but after doing a few research I found this place and found a great doctor and her name is Dr. Nguyen here at iSmiles Dentistry she is one of the doctors that I have talk to for the work that I needed to get done and she gave me a consult and a breakdown of what needed to be done before starting the procedures. After trying a few places and consulting with them, I chose this place because she actually told me what I needed to get done instead of the other doctors telling me I needed several of things that had to be done but Dr. Nguyen told me I didn't need all the procedures that the other doctors told me. So I decided to come here to iSmiles and have Dr. Nguyen as my primary dentist. My experience today in her office was amazing and it was my first visit at the office. After seeing her and consulting with her on the first day, I needed to get some work done and she fulfilled it and made me a happy camper. She is very gentile in the work that she does and she cares for her patients the way that I see it. When getting a procedure done with her, in the middle or somewhere along the procedure she will ask if you are okay and will check on you to see if everything is good then will continue on with the procedure. Also I had to do a crown and a filling and it turned out to be amazing and never had a problem with it. Also cleanings are the best thing you can have done twice a year and the results of a cleaning is the best because she gives the best results with a bright smile before leaving her office. I had tooth implant at John Vu Crown dental implant center in Catinat Plaza, Westminster CA 92863. The job was lousy: I had to come back many times: Either the crown breaks or becomes loose, the gum keeps getting infected! I don't want go back and continue to be a guinea pig for John Vu to experiment on. I will go to a Maxillofacial Surgeon to fix my problem. I have 3 other implants done in Europe, it is perfect. In Europe to perform implant you have to be a Medical doctor 6 years of education + 5 years of training in maxillofacial, dentistry and implant. John Vu is a general dentist who has only 5 months of training on implant technique. Don't trust him and his advertisement. For Implant please go to an office where there is a maxillofacial surgeon in-house. read more

ok this is the first time i would ever review an office, let alone a dental office but dr. mimi nguyen is amazing!! I was referred by a friend because they were having a really good $49 special for x-rays, check-up exam and cleaning. The parking was a little bit difficult because everyone in bolsa is out eating lunch now but luckily i wasnt late for my appointment. The front desk lady was very nice and sweet, she kinda reminded me of my mom. The office looked very clean and bright. I've always found dental visits stressful but Dr. Nina and her staff of iSmiles Dentistry go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The good of it are efficient, knowledgeable, caring staff. The office have a clean and welcoming feeling to each visit. The only bad about it is that the office only open on some Saturday and with limited parking spaces on construction days or when the road closure for certain events. She did similar horrible work with a crown to my mother, trying to more or less scam her over, overcharging her. I don't know the exact story with my mother, but I know that my mother refuses to go back to her as well. To top it all off she's in there arguing with one of her doctors in the front office, shes clearly a difficult person to work with. That's probably why there's never a doctor that lasts more than a couple years there. Edit: one month later i have pain and sensitivity in one of the three teeth they did a filling on, i cant eat or chew on that side and now have to go to another doctor to fix their botched work.
