This hands-on workshop was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. It's a 60-minute session where you personalize your own satchel, starting with the mini size, picking your bag color, choosing a Harris Tweed cloth lid, and adding decorative straps. You can also pay extra to upgrade to a bigger size or go with their signature tartan and leather base. There are tons of options, so you can get creative or keep it simple and classic. I'd recommend checking out their website or stopping by a shop first, since some locations sell premade classic styles, it's good to know what's already available before you start designing.
Overall Service: I booked through Klook, which I don't really recommend. Our ticket was for 10am, but the confirmation just had the central location, which doesn't open until 11am. They actually have six different workshop locations, and unless you book on their website, you might get the wrong address. I didn't get a follow-up email from Klook with the right info either. Luckily, a staff member at the central location (who got there early) was super helpful. She called the right store, checked for space, and got us into the next session after a 20-minute walk. The workshop was here at their Canongate location, which was really nice, lots of natural light, super clean, and roomy enough for a big group. Our guide was friendly and fun, and we had a great time putting our bags together. Despite the booking mix-up, the whole experience was excellent, and the staff really went above and beyond. Just make sure to book directly on their website for the smoothest experience. read more
