He sent a guy out he looked at the job and he told me it would take less than an hour. I agreed and told him to do the job as I was expecting to pay $165/hour The job was completed in 47 minutes and then I am presented a bill for $550 I called Charlie del Ross and asked why he is charging me $550 he told me he will get back to me. I never hear back from Charlie, but his guy gives me a new bill for $450 and tells me Charlie took $100 off. Clearly this is a scam and I'm currently reporting to the BBB

Unreachable, Broken Promises, Subpar Work…read more I hired Pat from Grace Mechanical through my contractor last year for plumbing work. Despite having a clear scope and agreement, the contractor's delays meant that one item was left incomplete. We paid approximately $5k for the services rendered and agreed to complete the remaining item this summer. While most of the work was satisfactory, Pat failed to properly seal my sink drainage during a conversion from two drains to one. As a result, water and food shoot up from the drain when I use the garbage disposal. This year, I've reached out to Pat almost daily via call or text for over a month. He rarely answers the phone and occasionally responds with vague promises to call back, which he never fulfills. He contacted me once, stating he needed to check his calendar and would call back to schedule a time. That was weeks ago, and I haven't heard from him since. I've attached proof of the shoddy sink drain work and examples of the unprofessional communication I've experienced. As a paying client, this treatment is unacceptable and highly unprofessional.

Ive had this electrical contractor solve several problems over the years. I was present for the…read morework, and can verify that he was very knowledgeable in this field. It was immediately evident that he knew exactly what the cause of my issues were, as well as how to properly solve said issues. His rates were fair, imo. I honestly expected it to be much more expensive! He arrived with another worker that was assisting him. They came prepared with all of the necessary materials already in his work van. I believe the owners name is David. The only reason that i chose to rate with 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that I felt he sometimes came off a little bit rude, almost arrogant. However, that personality flaw didn't affect the quality of work he accomplished and the jobs that were completed for me were absolutely 5 star worthy jobs. People skills can definitely be improved and are needed when running a business if you want to be professional. Him and his worker were right on time, thoroughly completed every project I've hired him to finish, and did so in an extremely timely manner. I could tell that he was a family man that valued certain morals and qualities and i was impressed when he offered to come and handle the one emergency type call for me on a Saturday, which wasn't even during his normal business hours. That was probably what sealed the deal for me to later hire him multiple other times. Ive never been disappointed with the outcome of his work, only ocassionally annoyed by the smug attitude that admittedly left pretty much as quickly as it came and he returned to being the expert electrician that gave me such reassurance to put such important jobs in the hands of Ludlams Electric, knowing that ultimately my family would be safe of any type of dangerous electrical accident due to his thorough understanding of the trade, his competency, and his communication with me on what it was that he was doing, why he was doing it, and what I could expect. Not once have i regretted using Ludlams Electric and i have personally recommended him to a few friends and family members and they all had very positive experiences similar to mine. So long as he is still available in my area, i will never use another company! And his prices never exceeded the estimate that i received upon hiring him. 10/10 would recommend this service. ( i actually think the negative reviews are false, or atleast must be caused by some form of major confusion or clashing of personalities! )

Okay - venting... I called a few companies for an annual contract for my heater & a/c. Since…read morethey're less than 3 years old, I just wanted a cursory check & filter cleaning for the a/c in the spring & the furnace in the fall. I decided to go with TLC, a small, local company rather than a large business. I spoke to Patty at TLC last April and was quoted a price for what I thought (since I asked for annual contract pricing) was for 2 visits and a lower price should I need any additional service. The a/c check went fine and I paid $325 thinking it was for an annual contract. Yesterday was my furnace check. I called at 10am and was told a service person would be here by 12:30-1:00. Well...it was after 2:00. No big deal. Sean cleaned the filter & checked my gas fireplace (2 years old). It took about 1/2 hour. He then asked me for $325. I couldn't speak. From my spring phone call with TLC, I thought I had an "annual" contract that included the spring & fall visits for a total of $325 - not $650!!! Totally outrageous. $325 for 1/2 hour?!? I could have done this work myself. Live & learn. Oh - when I looked at the contract emailed to me in the spring, it had expired, so I couldn't even review the original paperwork. Make sure you get the contract mailed to you. Don't let TLC rip you off. And Sean (service guy) even solicited side jobs for himself, saying he moves outdoor furniture for TLC customers and helps with small jobs. No thanks! I work hard and am so upset with having to pay so much for such a small job. It's crazy.
