If you're looking for a shop selling gorgeous handknit wool sweaters, this is a shop not to miss!…read moreThey do offer more than just sweaters, including Tweed hats from Scotland and 100% wool yarn from Briggs & Little and company (I think in PEI). There are of course lots of socks, mittens, blankets, throws, and stuffed sheep. I think they might've had a bit of tea for sale and they also carried Heather Gems from Scotland, a line of jewellery made from dyed and polished heather stems. Prices might look expensive compared to something you'd buy in a big store, but are worth the quality of the items. The staff that I met was wonderful and I loved all of the puns around the shop! Parking is just in front of the building. If you're looking for something more in the vein of a local yarn store, this shop isn't quite that unless you want 100% wool only.

The people there were very friendly, and talked to us about the things we were interested and greeted us when we entered. They were willing to give us information about the things they sold and the artists they sold, as well. They prices were astounding! Solid wood furniture for only a few hundred dollars, and really awesome stuff. The artwork was expensive, as it usually is, but it was all really original and well done. I would actually have felt good spending the money on it, it actually felt like true art. I didn't end up buying anything since I don't live near, and we're just visiting. But my brother bought a few old skeleton keys. So cool!!

This year we had the pleasure of visiting Le Moque-Tortue, that opened last fall. Being game people, we got excited at the idea of a game cafe, popular in Montreal where we live. Well if the idea of a game was good, well the food and drink is even better! Between four adults (and a preschooler who sampled from everyone) we were able to taste different dishes. Each was delicious! I had the lobster quesadilla, and it would so good! And big! The preschooler ate several pieces and I was still super satisfied. We shared two brownies for dessert, and that was more than enough (and the preschooler easily ate half of one himself alone). They've got a nice selection of local beers on tap too. The only real downside is that the place is popular and fairly small. Expect to wait on a weekend evening. The size is a plus though, it's small enough that one doesn't feel lost in the crowd, and service is personal.
