This place made my family impressed and they came here too and had amazing results. I even took my 8 year old here and she loved the tan but we gave her a light one in case. It is absolutely family friendly, everyone here is nice. The place is so unique inside and I love it. Me and my family have had no damage to our skin.

Bronze Bombshell is my local tanning salon. It took me a while when I moved from Florida to…read moreArkansas to find a place to keep my Florida tan, everywhere in the local area was either really expensive or really sketchy looking. Finally I came across Bronze Bombshell and it is where I've been tanning the past year or so. The prices are the lowest in the area (level one bed runs you about $45 a month, the cheapest anywhere else will run you around $70/mo) and the beds are always clean with fresh bulbs. The girls who work there are friendly and always helpful. The other bonus- they sell their lotions atleast 50% cheaper than anywhere else I've ever been. The location is a bit inconvenient, its in a shopping center past the Kroger in Jacksonville but it's worth it for me. Keep in mind they get very busy during the busy season (spring break-beginning of summer) so I always try to go during non-peak hours during those times, I find the morning and the middle of the afternoon (not lunch time or right after 5) are the best times. I know they also offer spray tans but I've never had one there so I can't review that. They also have a good selection of cheapie sunglasses.

For my first visit, I had a spray tan (not by a machine) and it ended up being a really good experience. For the little to no clothing worn when getting a spray tan, it can be uncomfortable being that exposed in front a stranger. BUT the owner (who did my spray tan) was AMAZING! She made me feel comfortable, she took her time and was incredibly friendly. The tan turned out perfect and lasted surprisingly longer than expected. Highly recommend this location.

I came to them in person to make my appointment as I wanted to make sure it was a high end salon. They assured me that they would do a good job. So I made an appointment with them #1 - I began to be concerned when the gal started putting them on way faster than I'd ever experienced. #2 - When I opened my eyes at the end my eyes were burning from the glue. # 3 - My left eye in the inner corner was irritating me and when I looked closer I realized she did not taper do the length. The corner lash was so long it was hitting the top above my eye lid #4 - When I got home I looked at them in my magnifying mirror and realized the individual lashes were not curling up in a natural fashion. They were going different directions. #5 - I tried to brush them to get them going up and curl but the brush snagged in the excessive glue. There was no way for me to separate the lashes that she had stuck together. I went back to them and told her my issues and needed to have them removed because I was ripping out my natural lashes every time I brushed them out. She told me she had never had that happen to her before, she blamed the glue. I've got enough experience with extensions to know that it was the way she applied them. She said she was not able to take them off that day but could do so another day. I ended up not even going back for the removal appointment as I lost all confidence in her.

I went in for a partial highlight. I could immediately tell after the wash that it was very dark. I…read moresaid "it looks dark" and the stylist said it was just because it was wet and would be lighter when it dried. After drying, my "highlights" were closer to brown than blonde. During the highlight I could feel bleach on my scalp at times which I know is not good when getting a foil and I can see some spots where there is a straight line of bleached hair at my scalp. Then she did not highlight any hair at the back of my head. It is obvious from looking at my growth that my hair was highlighted at the top, back of my head. For a place that charges $115 for a partial highlight you would expect better.

I love Caracalla. Everything about this salon and spa is classy, comfortable and makes you feel…read morepampered every time you go in. I've been here for several different services (never hair), and have never had a bad experience. In fact, once I just popped in to buy a gift certificate, and while I was waiting for the cashier to put it together, some spa employees were having a personal conversation near the front reception, and the cashier asked them to take their conversation somewhere else. She wasn't rude and the employees understood and moved on, and I thought that this gesture demonstrated that this salon is about the CLIENT. And it truly is. I think one of the things I really like about Caracalla is that it is spacious enough for all the services to have their own areas, that feel roomy, private, quiet, etc., as appropriate. You are not thrust on top of anyone else and you have all the attention of your professional. They give you all relevant information and really focus on you and take care of you. You cannot put your tip on your credit card, though, and you tip the employees directly in envelopes at the front with checks or cash, so be prepared for that. What will keep me coming back to Caracalla is how friendly and warm the people are there, even though they offer luxurious treatments and high quality services. They aren't snooty, but very accessible and helpful.Treat yourself! You'll love it!
