Booked a dolphin cruise while in Dauphin Island. Waited to the last minute so dates and times were…read morelimited. I specifically wanted to book on The Duke due to past experiences. The Duke is a large boat and kids do not have to wear life jackets. The boat has plenty of adult and kid life jackets. There is plenty of seating area and the seating area is covered. There is a bathroom on the boat. The staff is very nice. All of the kids got a chance to drive the boat. Unfortunately, we didn't not see any dolphins on this trip. This was not the case on past visits. What sets this boat apart is they drag nets and bring marine life onto the boat. The kids get to learn about the fish, crabs, shrimp and what ever else is grout up. The staff removes anything that can harm them and then the kids get to throw the fish back into the water. Birds and other marine life may or may not eat what is thrown back. I will continue to do dolphin tours with The Duke. Next time I'll probably do a fishing trip.

I'd been trying for years to ride the ferry, but the weather was never in my favor. It's important to check the business's Facebook page to know when it is scheduled to run; it seems to be the most updated method to keep track. I recently caught a break and was able to ride from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island. It really does run like clockwork and the views are cool as you're crossing. It's important to note for riders: there is really no coverage from the sun, so wear sunscreen. I'd definitely ride the ferry again, it beats that looong drive back and forth from one island to another.

It's such a relaxing break from driving, saves hours on the road, and feels like a mini adventure in itself. On the small side. About two dozen or so vendors selling goods and wares, several food trucks, and several informational booths with wildlife conservation information. It was all quite lovely.

It was mid Oct still warm would have expected the birds out feeding in the marsh area. There were some smaller birds about a dozen off in the distance. Did see a cool raccoon in a hallowed out tree. Few squirrels running around and some butterflies. The building area is nice, good hands on stuff for the kids and some tanks with snakes, turtles, etc. Overall, I wouldn't come back. It peaceful and nice to set and look for birds, but guess I'm used to S FL. If this was down home the place would have been full of birds and other wildlife. If you have kids and looking for something to do stop end otherwise if you're birding find a better spot.

I had a 5 year old, an 8 year old and a 17 year old with me. We went out 25-30 miles from shore and everytime we put our lines in the water we got a bite. The kids were having a blast. I was worried about being 6 hours on the water but it was so much fun! it was easy to book a boat and the captain and Austin made it memorable. worth every penny!! The boat was clean and had all the supplies, the Captain showed us what to do and Austin was there to help with anything. all I had to do was pack some snacks and water and we were on a roll. I would recommend this company any day. I would trust them with my family anytime. They even cleaned our fish and told me how to cook it. thank you for the wonderful time, the kids won't forget it.
