This is a cult. I went thought their fire & fragrance tract a few years ago. They are dishonest…read moreabout funds, don't allow students to have outside jobs, and force them to ask home for money. They release propaganda films and don't give accreditation for what they say they will. They shame people for not experiencing miracles of healing, they encourage cutting off family members and openly sharing trauma upon arrival. They treat certain leaders like royalty, while outcasting those who question their teaching. They are constantly emphasizing the need to be "slain in the spirit" and speak in tongues. I came into school a Christian who wanted to spend her life on the mission field. Now I want nothing to do with organized religion. They forced fasting, during COVID locked 10 students in small bunkbed dorm rooms for 2 weeks with only access to cafeteria food that was so bad, most of the students had lost a significant amount of weight by the end of quarantine. They sleep deprive you filling every waking hour with work or sermons or worship. They put new members in leadership over each other in foreign countries with little to no training. The students are hated in the local Kailua Kona area as they are known for defacing historical sacred landmarks as "demonic" and telling the homeless that god will perform miracles and shaming their "lack of faith" if nothing happens. Don't waste your time or money. So many students I knew came home after only to relapse because of the loneliness and disconnection. I know at least 3 students that returned after school to commit suicide after, and I only was involved with Ywam for 2 years.

If I could rate this negative infinity I would. They stole money. They use cult practices. The…read moreschool I was promised accreditation for they flat out lied to me and so many other students. They're not legally accredited at all. They scam peoples money. I was locked in a room and forced to fast until we raised all the money. We did not agree to fast and pray. I have hypoglycemia and I had a seizure and almost died, instead of getting me medical help they started to pray the demon inside me away who was causing the seizure.. so wack. They refused me medical help until the money was raised. I gave 1k bc I wanted to go go the ER. I'd like my money back. My friend jumped off the go center building trying to suicide because they made her feel like an outcast. My other friend who was disabled they shamed her and sent her home because they said due to her disability she was not fit to serve the kingdom of God. Our outreach leader molested one of the women, no punishment was given. They worship Loren Cunningham and Cary him into meetings on a chair that they make indigenous people carry. They disrespect native Hawaiian culture. They ruin the environment. They lie to students. They tell students "no one will understand what your going through" "no one back home will understand the burden of the mission it's best not to talk to anyone about it." They use cult practices and cult psychological tactics to get the students to come back and serve after DTS. All through DTS it's drilled into you that no one understands except them. They encourage separation of family, like they say things all through DTS so when you go home you just feel empty and manipulated and then you come back serving because you miss your "ywam family" because "no one understands" on top of that the misappropriation of funds is crazy. The FBI is investigating them for fraud and money laundering. DTS leader spent all our funds and we had to sleep on the floor in churches overseas and ask our families for more money to get home. I regret ever doing a DTS here and ever serving as a staff member for so many years. Do not send your children here. It's a cult. I just moved to Hilo from Oahu a few months ago and at the spur of the moment, I decided to…read moreregister for a CNA program. I was debating between Mid Pacific Medical Training Institute (MPMTI) and Hawaii Institute of Healthcare &Training Services (HIHTS). After doing some research and looking into the options that I had, I chose to inquire at both programs. I contacted HIHTS and left a message, but I was never given a follow-up. When I contacted MPMTI, I left a message with the administrator (Lin), and the instructor (Jan) called me back the next day. I met with her on that Friday and started my classes on the following Monday. The registration process was quick, easy and affordable. *** They provide students with payment options and work with other resources (Alu like, American Job Center etc.) to help with the tuition cost.*** Let's start with the facility, which is amazing. The class room is spacious with only a maximum of 8 students at a time. It's very clean, organized and has everything needed to succeed in the 6 week course. They also have 2 identical "resident rooms" with all the proper tools and supplies you need to practice your "skills". They give you all the resources you need to learn the material such as, daily handouts, textbook, work book and access to an online classroom where they have videos to learn from as well. They also provide snacks and coffee to enjoy during your breaks. They even offer a supply of scrubs to purchase, if you'd like. ***Free parking is also provided with proof of current vehicle insurance, so there's no need to hunt for parking. Parking is also secure with video cameras.*** During the classes, we are given thorough information on the proper ways to provide care to our community's residents in rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities. We're taught about medical conditions, signs and symptoms, along with best treatment techniques and how to provide care for activities of daily living. Jan also instilled the importance of our services and care. She stresses the significance of being a CNA that genuinely cares for the residents that depend on them and her extensive knowledge of the medical field is greatly appreciated. We also got to work with residents at Life Care Center, which was a meaningful way to experience the work of a CNA first hand. It gives you an in depth understanding of the skills you learn, how to apply them and how to be flexible and adaptable in a case by case scenario. Overall, Jan and Lin are excellent examples of people who thrive to provide the best education to Hawaii's future CNAs. They really put all their efforts into helping their students be successful in this course. They walk you through the process step by step. They do everything possible to give their students all the assistance they require to do their best, starting from the time that they welcome you, to the finish line - passing your Prometric exam and obtaining your state license. I would recommend MPMTI to anyone who is looking to get or re-cert their CNA cert/license. MPMTI is truly the epitome of an institute that puts their students education and experience at the forefront of what they do. I'm extremely happy with my chose to get my CNA license with MPMTI. Keep up the hard work ladies! You guys are an inspiration and a reminder that good people still exist in the world!

Today, I finished the course and all I have to say is WOW. Overall, the facility and the instructor…read more(Ms. Jan) as well as her right hand administrator (Ms. Lin) were outstanding! The facility is very clean and it has the appropriate supplies to help you become a CNA. Now, as far as Ms. Jan and Ms. Lin, they are both very compassionate and caring people. They want to assure that we succeed after completing the class, and that we share our abilities for a better community! Anyways, I found the class online and I was impressed with their website and the photos that were posted. I contacted the facility and spoke with Ms. Jan over the phone. Over the phone, she briefly discusses how she admits (at maximum) 8 people per class session, which is also posted on the website, then asks if you can come to the facility in-person so she may interview and thoroughly talk to you about the course and what to expect. Altogether, you will feel so confident and motivated to be a CNA after completing the class. You will be disappointed that the class has finished, but you will NOT be disappointed with the class. I highly recommend Mid Pacific Medical Training Institute :) Also, I forgot to mention that the facility sells very cute scrubs at a reasonable price! Call or stop by to see the various types of scrubs that the may have to offer.
