This concept store is as independent as they come. No, it's not a skate shop nor a hardcore sneaker shop. Instead it has a selection of styles inspired by the street. Owner Isis likes to use the space as her playground and has created a showroom for her handpicked clothes and pieces. Dotted all over the place you will find limited edition sneakers and shoes, vintage dresses, unique t-shirts, colourful accessories and even one of a kind ISIS jackets and shirts. If you are looking for something a little less ordinary and something you will not find on the high street then this is the place for you. Normally I am not the one going for chunky golden chains or neon boots but Isis showed me how it all can work together and create a complete look. Well I'll be damned! Suddenly a wave of nostalgia hit me when the music stopped and Isis changed the cassette in the stereo, nice one! Established in 2013.

Isis Vaandrager is als stylist al 15 jaar actief vanuit Rotterdam, over de hele wereld. Na lange tijd een atelier te hebben gehad in Rotterdam Noord, werd het tijd voor een nieuwe uitdaging. Mede door de goede ontwikkelingen rondom het Zwaanshalskwartier en de vele leuke panden die er te huur zijn, nam Isis de stap om 'openbaar' te gaan met haar atelier. Isis Inc. is als het ware een 3D vertaling van de fotostyling die zij verzorgt voor magazines en artiesten.

Ook artiesten zoals Venga Boys, Jayh, DIO, I Am Aisha, Krezip en Ronnie Flex werden door Isis gestyled voor clips en optredens.

Okay... before someone says I'm being too generous. I generally add one extra star for local,…read moreindependently owned shops that are well-run and maintained. I think we need more of this kind of shops around. I'm tired of the same shops every where I go: H&M, Zara, Jack Jones, etc. Sister Moon has very nice collection of fashion that suit my taste. I find it trendy and they carry brands that are not so common in the Rotterdam area. I can only speak for the men's department. However, most of my girl friends seem to like their merchandise as well. Humör is fun Danish/Swedish brand. They're quite stylish and I find their clothing quite hard to find in Holland unless I shop online. Sister Moon carries Humör and they are modestly priced. They also carry some up and coming young designers from Paris and London. Every time I visit their shop, they seem to always have new items. From the outside, the shop may not seem that appealing, but I recommend you to check them out. My friends and I always seem to find things that we like and want to buy every time I'm there. Go and support the local business with style! :)
