I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my experience at Gold's Gym…read more My husband and I have been members of this facility, but we ultimately decided that we needed to move to another gym due to an uncomfortable and even stressful environment created by a particular front desk staff member. There is a young woman at the front desk--unfortunately, I don't know her name, but she has a buzz cut and tattoos. We have noticed ongoing issues regarding professionalism and boundaries, particularly with her behavior, which I have found to be inappropriate. We visit the gym daily, sometimes even with our child, and this staff member consistently flirts with my husband. Initially, we assumed she was just being friendly, but over time, her behavior became increasingly disrespectful toward me as his wife. She never acknowledges me, yet she makes a point to compliment my husband every time we walk in. Additionally, I know this is not an isolated issue, as a friend and coworker of mine--who also attends the gym--has shared a similar experience. He mentioned that this staff member was openly discussing her personal life, including stories about nightclubs and her previous job as a stripper all this while flirting with him as well. I wanted to bring this to everyone attention, in case you're thinking about going to this gym with your partner. Professionalism and Respect are not a thing here

If you don't pay for the 24 hr service expect a crowd gym every session. On top of that the pool location is super awkward. It's placed right in the center of the gym surrounded fully by windows, so you can get stared at by everyone in the gym while sitting in the hot tub . So in conclusion if you'd like an extremely over populated gym. With mediocre equipment, and hidden fees sprinkled in there Golds is a perfect choice

First off, let me say that I travel a fair amount for work but I live in Asheville. Generally, when…read moreI travel, I seek out a hot yoga studio to go to at least once. Over my travels, I've come to realize that I am SO FREAKIN BLESSED to have this studio nearby. The instructors are amazing, I love the hot flow classes, the studio is well equipped (no block rental fees etc) AND you get a cool lavender infused towel at the end of every class! Divine Shavasana. The locker room is sufficient, not as nice as some and sometimes quite crowded but comfortable and efficient enough. I have now been going for almost 2 years and I am beyond hooked. At 40 years old, my body looks better than it did in my 20's and I get a true natural high as I finish a class. Currently working on handstands. #practicenotperperfection The one thing I'd say is that I'm motivated by music so pay attention to the explanation of the class. Some of the Hot 26's are silent (in the original spirit of Bikram) and I find them tedious. Personally. Give me a beat to get lost in and I will. But you do you. Favorite teachers include: Julie Raphaela Heather Adi Ross Rachel Mary In no particular order and I know I'm forgetting a few. Inhale the good shit. Exhale the bullshit. Sweat on, you beautiful yogis.

What a great find this was for me. Plank Fitness was recommended to me by a friend. After calling to set up an appointment for an evaluation, I met with Gaelyn Rogers, one of the therapists there. We went over some of the history with my accident and the recovery thereafter. Gaelyn then scheduled some procedures and instituted an exercise program for me to do at home. I can already feel some progress being made by the way my knees are responding to the therapy. Plank Fitness also has strength and conditioning trainers on hand to aid anyone seeking to become more fit and fluid and is setup in a nice and cozy atmosphere inside. I am already looking ahead to more programs once my knees get to where I want them to be. I would definitely recommend Plank Fitness to anyone looking to improve their health.

There is a station for Oly weightlifting, Cardio, even a basketball hoop out back and what appeared to be archery stuff. I got really good hands on coaching and although I train quite often was able to improve a lot on my clean technique. I travel a lot and always like to visit different local gyms and this place definitely is a part of the Asheville vibe and character and would highly recommend it.

Protein and greens obviously supports an active lifestyle, but the flavor of a good steak and steamed brussels sprouts vaults this simple meal to staggering deliciousness and optimum performance. My sister attends this box regularly, but I have next to no experience with CrossFit. After attending a couple of Saturday morning bootcamp classes at 9 am on a few different visits to Asheville, I wanted to try some mid-week classes. The coaches and students were friendly and focused. Aaron, the owner, stayed nearby to help me modify movements to my skill level. I walked away challenged and excited to return. I really appreciated that the coaches are committed to good technique and speak up to help correct incorrect movements. Although most of my fitness experience is anchored in dance training, I felt welcome at this Crossfit facility, and I wish I lived in the area so I could attend regularly.
