In 2019, Alicia staged my house in downtown Phoenix (Willo neighborhood) and helped it sell on the FIRST day it was re-listed: My house had been on the market for a few months with zero interest. As Willo is a niche market, it's not easy to sell a house there, yet this seemed unusual. A friend recommended Alicia's company, iSearchDecor, to help me stage the house. Alicia met me quickly. She put me at ease, as she was professional, knowledgeable, and confident. Her bid was transparent. (I met with other stagers, but Alicia impressed me the most.) Throughout the process, Alicia was available and reliable. She stopped by to give me an opinion on paint options. I wanted a sitting chair in the Master BR, and she found the right thing. I couldn't afford to stage all rooms, so she changed what she was originally putting in one of the rooms to meet my budget. As a bonus, she & her team put staging items throughout the house (kitchen and baths) to make those rooms look finished. I was nervous after getting the house staged and ready for re-listing, but it sold on DAY ONE. The couple purchasing my house gave me a cash offer and we closed 2 weeks later. Next, I asked Alicia to stage my husband's house in Litchfield Park in February 2020. She saved us money on design fees by using the same staging furniture from my Willo house. My husband had a full price offer within one week of listing. Then, COVID was declared a pandemic and those buyers backed out due to job uncertainty. I truly believe staging helped sell my husband's house as quickly as could be expected; no other houses were selling during those early months of COVID. The quote was easy to understand. She line-item listed costs to make the quote transparent, like initial staging, cost to deliver furniture, 1st month and subsequent month pricing for staging, etc. After Alicia's staging helped me sell other houses, I knew her decorative skills were invaluable. She gave the house a story to tell...she inspired prospective buyers, so they could see themselves living in our house. I wanted our Great Room to look grand and airy yet inviting. I gave no other directions--and Alicia made that room feel luxurious yet comfortable. Alicia was open to my ideas. At first Alicia thought we should stage the formal dining room as such; after our discussion, she realized a sitting room would be a better selling point. Then, I wanted to stage 2 outside areas. I hoped to showcase our beautiful view, since our lot bordered the greenbelt for the neighborhood, as well as the professional landscaping with a courtyard, fountains, chiminea. Well, I have text from her and the realtors name/# to prove this is NOT TRUE. The realtor had to provide her name and number for me to track down the plates. Once I had, I asked by text for her to please return them. She replied she wasn't going to but I could come and get them. Then I asked if she would buy them at half price. She was very rude, told me it should be factored into the cost of doing business and belittled me for this in numerous text. I was amazed how unethical and unprofessional she was but cut my loses. Then the realtor contacted me and asked if the issue was taken care of. I shared the text with the realtor, the realtor called Alicia and then I got a check. Contractors be warned! This company made many promises and didn't follow through on any of them. I run a small business in the Southeast Valley and thought I'd get some decent leads so I agreed to sign on with the assurance any leads I was provided would be within my operating range and if I wasn't provided enough leads in one month, the credits would roll over to the next. The only leads I was provided were well outside my range (El Mirage! Scottsdale!), I agreed to help Alicia on very short notice on a high end condo in Tempe and was never paid, they didn't roll over the credits, and tried to charge me for more credits even though their leads were worthless to me. She refused to issue a refund and only offered more credits for, again, leads that were useless to me. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and rue the poor decision I made to sign on with them. read more
