My mom has always told me not to eat isaw (chicken intestine) but being the stubborn kid that I was (and probably will always be), I indulged in the exotic Pinoy street food once in a while. But while I may be hardheaded about it, I make sure that the isaw I eat is clean and prepared well. Which is why I love going to Isaw Haus when I'm craving for isaw!
I've been going to this restaurant along Ortigas Avenue Extension for a couple of years now. It's not your typical gimmick place - no loud thumping music or strobe lights, no people bumping and grinding. It's a very chill, down-to-earth drinking spot where you can share stories with friends while chugging down beer and chomping on different kinds of Pinoy street food. From pig intestines to chicken feet to liver, you'll find it here!
The place is great for group hang-outs. The food is competitively priced but if you really want what's worth every cent, my go-to items on their menu would be their Pancit Canton, isaw (duh), pork and chicken barbeque, and liempo. Order these with your favorite local beer and I guarantee you a solid dinner night out! read more
