I heard about this festival randomly on the Facebook I believe. So I decided to drive up north. It's one hour from the Twin Cities. Pleasant Drive. It's a small county fair but it's really charming because it has a couple of parkings that are free, not overpopulated, fewer stocks and things to do and play and exhibitions and animals and farms and horse race against the clock etc. I would say I enjoyed it as much as I enjoy the state fair of Minnesota.
Much cheaper than the state fair even though the food inside is slightly cheaper than the state fair. It was a hot but windy day so everybody was relatively comfortable. The sheriff had stationed there and they were giving gifts to people which is really nice.
Enough rides to please the kids. The pork chop line was always at least ten people and smells good. The good thing you have more than one place that says ice cream and more than one place that sells fried cheese girls (auto dictation I said Curds :-( )
There were sanitation stations at the entrance and exit of every farming exhibition.
The county fair is myself just one block from most stores in Cambridge including Fleet Farm and cup foods as well at gas stations and fast food.
