I feel like the staff value their customers differently. The receptionist's, hygienists, and Dr. Kaplansky himself give varying treatment levels in terms of service to customers. I found my cleaning to be rushed. I mean 35-45 minutes in and out rushed. My hygienist was not the most personable either. I tried to make small talk, and help ease my anxiety of the dentist but she did not make me feel any more comfortable. Dr. Kaplansky is a busy man, totally understandable. But as a patient, I feel like I should be paying for his presence, instead of him popping in and out to say hi for 1-2minutes during a 1 hour appointment. Although there are two receptionist's working behind the counter, I always find there to be a wait. They fail to even make eye contact with you. Half of the time, they are on the phone with someone, or starting at their computer screen. I understand you are busy, but make your patients feel welcomed, and valued, or else your banner of #1 Dentistry in Mississauga is completely irrelevant, misleading, and un-deserved.

Although I was not a patient of Dr. Kaplansky's, he drove out to meet me at his dental office on the Sunday afternoon just after my accident to deal with my crisis. Dr. Kaplansky was extremely compassionate and caring, and kept me calm throughout this traumatic experience. He was patient with me and reassured me everything would be ok. As a result of my accident, I required both a root canal and crown for my front tooth. Dr. Kaplansky was very professional and did an incredible job on the procedure. Thanks to the precision of his work, I left the office with my smile back, good as new :). I can't thank Dr. Kaplansky enough for the work he did, and I would absolutely recommend him as a dentist.

Originally I had visited another dentist up the street, but I had a very negative experience there taking out my wisdom teeth. My family had been going to Mavis before I moved back and suggested that I give them a try. I booked an appointment to see Dr Monica (Amanika Luciani) for a consult. Since my family had been going there for years I had decided to give them a try. The first dentist that I went to in the area for my wisdom removal had outsourced a "travelling specialist" who performed the extraction. The result was my gums being hacked up and the extraction not complete. Dr Monica, after our initial consult corrected all the mistakes that the "specialist" had done. After the procedures for correction were complete, my wife and I had moved our business to Mavis Dental. Over the years my wife and I have had emergencies and issues which needed immediate attention. I have had no issues being able to see Dr Monica or Dr (Micheal Luciani) Mike either that day or the next day. I appreciate that they take the time with you to tell you the issues or options for your dental health. This professionalism and courteous nature also translates to the dental hygienists and support staff at the office. The hygienists are friendly and thorough with their examination/cleaning. The front desk staff are great as well!! Understanding the daily grind of most people, they will try to schedule and appointment that fits your life..not theirs. If you have an issue with your teeth or dental health and are in the Mississauga area, don't have any hesitation to visit Mavis Dental...5 stars!!

His office is located in west Mississauga,…read morein the Erin Mills area, just west of Winston Churchill and Eglinton and about 6 minutes west of the Credit Valley Hospital (just off the 403). In my quest to find a decent dentist in the area, I discovered Dr. Vincent Strazzeri from word of mouth, as friends and family were really happy about their experience with him. A relative underwent tooth extraction with him weeks ago and sang nothing but praises (again, how many people can say that, really?). I've normally visited on weekends and while it gets very busy, staff are extremely efficient (you don't wait longer than 5 minutes from your scheduled appointment time). In short, Dr. Strazzeri is patient, takes time to get to know you, is extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly, doesn't try to up-sell. I had concerns (and fears) that I would need to undergo wisdom tooth extraction (terrifying, I know), and unlike dentists in the past, he took a look and an x-ray and honestly told me I wouldn't need it. He's very thorough, and really takes the time to address your concerns. Wonderful bedside manner. His staff and hygenists are also patient, kind, and knowledgeable - basically, this clinic has everything you would ever want in a dentist. The clinic isn't very big, and the waiting area is pretty small, but that isn't a concern for me. Also note that they also put your insurance claims through for you so you don't need to file anything yourself. After a couple of visits, I'm a loyal patient. I'd highly recommend this clinic.

I joke that my…read morerelationship with my dentist is among the longest professional relationships I've had - for good reason. Because it is! We live in a very competitive world where every service business is striving to gain and maintain customers. Ultimately, those who retain the loyalty of their customers do so because of their superior service and becasue they offer a product that is far better than their competition. I see some reviews here based on price point. When it comes to our health care quality (dentistry, medical, etc.) making our decisions on price point alone can prove to be a very constly gamble in the end. I would dream of putting my dental care in the hands of an inexperienced or "cheap" provider! Dr. Sferlazza and his team know the value of a lifetime customer! I wouldn't have been this loyal to him and his staff (especially since moving from Mississauga to Toronto and having to drive a long distance to my appointments) if it wasn't for the fact that they are, by far, the best in the business in my experience! The quality of the work is second to none, the "bedside manner", thoughtfulness and friendliness of the staff, superb! I feel like a family member when I go for my appointments! Dr. Sferlazza's practice offers a very positive experience during every visit. It feels more like going to the spa than the dentist, thanks to the comforting interiors (down to the massage chair!!!), the welcoming staff and attentiveness during the consultation and procedure. They all express genuine care and are very invested in the relationship with the patient. There's immense value in this, for me, especially considering the contrast with other practices or health care providers where patients are just a number. If you're looking for a dentist you'll want to stay with for life and recommend to family members and friends, look no further! Marinela
