It was AMAZING. I mean, there was nothing else for a 45 minute drive, so it had to be. It had ice, gas, alcohol, a restaurant, a convenience store AND a video rental. And also, was the only place within 45 minutes. So... if having no other option is your thing, Hanham's is your place.

And because of the exchange rate atleast for US visitors the prices cant be beat. The chicken noodle soup, breakfast sandwiches, and the club sandwiches were all very good. Coffee was fresh and while I had no problems with the donut bites my kids said they seemed to be much sweeter than the dunkin variety. Service was in and out. Overall love love love!

If you hadn't already fueled up (both your car and yourself) this location is just fine for doing that. The staff at both the gas station and coffee shop are pleasant. Nothing outstanding but they give you what you need with a smile on their face.

You can probably find a snack to suit most everyone's needs - from potato chips to (hopefully) fresh sandwiches. It's also fairly well-staffed. Having two counter people (at least when I've been there) definitely helps move things along so you can move along.

The mechanic at V-Filling Station interrupted his other job to take off the plastic plate underneath the engine, assuring us that it was not essential to running the car. He charged us all of $20 for this; for added embarrassment neither of us had any Canadian money, and he didn't mind that I paid with US$. "I have to go to the bank some time!" he said. This was truly a travel-angel experience. The retro decorative touches in the office were also very cool.
