The gas prices were decent enough, and the station was laid out in an organized fashion and was clean. What struck me most was the convenience store here (Maplefields). It was quite large, immaculate inside, with a huge assortment of fresh foods (sandwiches, baked items, salads) and beverages. I thought to myself, if I had to use the washroom (which, thankfully, I didn't, I wouldn't hesitate about asking to use the bathroom here. Note that I usually avoid gas station bathrooms LIKE THE PLAGUE. But here, the store was so clean and orderly, I'd use the washroom in a heartbeat if needed). I saw some beautifully packaged Vermont maple syrup on sale for a super price, and I got a few for gifts for friends back in Seattle, along with some fresh foods for the road for the kiddies and excellent coffee for myself. He said yes and when I asked him if I could buy two dollars in quarters he opened the drawer, pulled out two heaping handfuls of quarters, and sarcastically said "no. I can't give you any. I have to save these for my shift." He made a provocative sad face like he was trying to start something and told me again to try Maplefields. As I was leaving o told him someone should put a ticket in with the vendor seeing as their pump is broken. He started arguing with me, and I told hi. That I wasn't arguing with him, just giving him feedback as I manage people and a business. As I was getting into my car, he walked out to yell "have a good day" at me like some little punk trying to start a confrontation, then as I pulled around the building, he ran out, I stopped and rolled my window down and he yelled to have a good day again. Totally unprofessional, trying to provoke a fight, and not someone who should represent anyone's business. This was at 3pm on 2/18. Hopefully management sees this.

The process was pretty smooth except I think their default service is set up for purchase and service in shop. So when I called about my appointment they had to check another system or another service member. It's not a huge issue but it did make me wonder how Goodyear gets away with calling their online service/order system easy. So I'm not sure I can blame VT Tire for that. Service took about an hour or so as the old lug nuts on the car needed replacement and the technician showed me in great detail why, which I very much appreciated. They got me on my way pretty smoothly. My only complaint is they did try to help by mentioning my TPMS warning light would be on after the new tires installed but should turn off "after driving some". Actually, the 40 minute drive home it stayed on and then when I finally stopped and checked tire pressures, one of the new tires was about 3-4 psi soft. After filling that up the light did go off. So I was a bit shocked that not all the tires were inflated to TPMS and mfg requirements before I drove off. But overall yes I would recommend these guys. They seem to know what they are doing and appear to have a system that gets you in and out the door quickly. Oh and also, they work Saturday mornings!

Well, I've had my newest used 2021 Atlas Crossport in multiple times for the same issue without resolution. So I took it to my regular mechanic shop that specializes in German cars. They diagnosed the problem immediately and when I reached out to Shearer to see if they wanted to make it right, they said they would look into it and have since ghosted me. I will buy more VW's but not from Shearer. No Shearer dealership will get my money ever, and my average is 1 new car a year. A strange business model.
