Kristin was always so kind and open for what I wanted to do and I loved to just allow her use her creativity on my color and she was a wizard! She always nailed my color dreams! I would plan my day around getting it done whenever she could fit me in and was flexible with timing. The shop and bathroom were clean and stocked. I love the new age art look and all the products they use are right there along the wall and local! It's a great local-owned business and it's really easy to want to come back just for the good conversations.

Some places have turned into "appointment only" during the re-opening phases of the "economy", but this place remains walk-in only, the way I like my barbershops! (while maintaining the required controls to "keep the curve flat"). Super friendly folks here. Got a great cut and really enjoyed my visit. It's your basic barbershop, with a couple of guys cutting hair in a clean, friendly place, exchanging stories and experiences. Felt very comfortable and welcome here. They take the only person left in the waiting room and I look back up and I'm at 47 minutes. At his point I complain and try to get them to tell me how this is happening. I don't get a satisfactory answer. Now there's people who's names appeared on the wait list after who are showing up ahead of me. We'll see. This is the 3rd time Something went wrong on the "Wait list" costing me extra time. Nothing like this happened with Great Clips and this haircut is twice as much.

Advertised as "master barbers"....well, not my guy. Showed him a couple of pictures of what I…read morewanted, stressed (I thought) not to take too much off sides and back. So, he immediately went to work with the clippers on the back, taking part of it down so short it won't even lay down. I asked to leave the top long enough to sweep back....what I ended up with was basically two different haircuts...top long, and sides/back way shorter than I wanted...that did not blend well at all. No tapering of blending really, just an abrupt difference in length. One spot around my left temple is literally an inch shorter than the other side, and also too short to lay down properly. When he did the take-a-mirror-and-check-it-out, I got out of there before he did any more damage. I figure it'll take about 3-4 months before it grows out enough to get someone else to even it up and blend it better. Not really a hat guy but looks like I'll be wearing some hats. Never again at this place.

Most of the time when I ask for a low skin fade barbers around Ashland give a high & tight, which I don't particularly like. The barbers are very polite, fun to be around, talented, and will give you exactly what you ask for. They only charge $10 for a cut and they also use a straight razor on the back of your neck for those who prefer that. I couldn't recommend this place more.
