As soon as we walk in, the rooms are large with wooden desks, wooden armoire, and A/C units. The smell with you first walk in is a nice lemon sent and is very pleasing. The bathrooms are large! Huge sink, nice size shower with toilet and badee. The beds are king size with lamps on both sides. The room also includes wooden door terraces with your own outside tables. Places to hangout include all of the hotel. Outside has lush greenery and flowers with tons of seating. The hotel has a lot of shaded spaces and places in the sun. The hotel also comes with a fitness center. It's quite large and has its own building. It has almost every workout machine there. The restaurant was the most surprising. The chef is noted as one of the best in the area. Every dish is different. Even the same dish on one table has different twist. I had the noddles with prawn and seared tuna. The presentation and the taste of the food was AMAZING. Please don't hesitate to try. The server were also great, and gave us the best recommendations. The breakfast is buffet style with the assortment of yogurt, meat, cheeses, and breads. Each morning has been filling and delightful. Walking distance to the beaches isn't bad at all. It's about 4-5 blocks and you can take a shortcut through a park to get to the beaches. You have two options, pebble beach or sand beach. Each has its own perks. The pebble peach is nice for not dealing with sand. The sand beach has more space and also has pine trees to shade you in the rear. All and all, this hotel is the best place to stay in the area. The staff are all welcoming and speak very good English. Bravo!

A very nice place to stay on Sant'Antioco island…read more Let's start with the only drawback I saw: it is not very central in San'tAntioco "city" but nothing dramatic, in about 10 minutes walking you are in the central area. Appart from the location aspect, it is the perfect place: rooms are large and very comfortable: everything seems very recent, the bathroom is big and very well decorates, the beds are hudge and you have a small balcony outside. The garden is very pretty with a lemon tree with gigantic lemons. The hosts invited us to help ourselves on it which was very nice. In addition, Giancarlo & Antonella, the hosts are very very nice. They do not speak very good english but will make all they can so your stay is perfect. Finally, the breakfast is good with many different things: homemade jams, tea and/or coffee, fruit juices, bread and different kinds of cakes. I will only regret that there weren't any fruit (but from what I have seen everywhere in Sardinia, it does not seem to be a frequent thing to have fruits at breakfast). For the price: 50€ for 2 persons a night in off season, I highly recommend to stay at Gaulos if you go on the Island.
