Toddler class is horrible. They care about nothing. My 18 months would keep licking her runny nose all day no one would care. She had a 102 fever one day they didn't notice until I picked her up at the end of the day. When I mentioned that to the school manager, her response was they can't go and check every kid in the class!. They would let her cry all day or give her a pacifier to shut her up. They don't have any knowledge or techniques on how to calm a baby down. One Teacher from toddler class should probably be moved to old kids class because she's very aggressive and doesn't know how to deal with Babies.

The teachers took time to engage with us while giving a tour of the facility. With the pandemic, we were still hesitant on a start date. After sharing my concerns, the Director assured us of the safety protocols in place and let me know when I was ready, they would be ready! Fast forward to now. Our son has been attending since October 2020 and his development has been a pleasure to watch. There's a few interactions that have stood out for me. First, there was a day when my son was fussy and didn't want to enter the classroom. After some coaxing, he proceeded over the threshold with his teacher. I was entering my car and noticed he was still crying. Within seconds, his teacher picked him up and gave him cuddles to soothe him and stop crying. At a previous center, they would let me cry it out. This warmed my heart. The second good observation was just a week ago. I was approached by his teacher encouraging me to move him to full-time care because she noticed signs of regression. We, yes WE, discussed next steps and how we could make this an easy transition for him. Part of the challenge is he's not fully potty trained, but they work with him daily to get him there. If you're looking for a place to send your little one, look no further. Your child will be cared for and prepared for kindergarten. You will be treated like family here. Oh...and one other thing...the weekly newsletters are adorbs! You get to see the littles playing together and read about what they're working on for the week. It's a great way to provide reinforcement at home. Something else...I love the app! You get notifications with your child's activity and pics. Look no further! TLE-Elgin is the place!

From just a few weeks in, we noticed that he was more irritable, and somewhat sad on a fairly regular basis. He would constantly ask us to stay home, stating that he "hated" his new school. We also noticed that there were constantly new teacher assistants, (none of whom would ever introduce themselves), and he was switched into a new class just 2 months after he started. He began asking us if he was a bad kid and he also started telling us that he would "never let us down." For context, he attended a wonderful Goddard school prior to our move back to the area, and we never had any problems. We had an in-person meeting with the school's administrators to address some of the concerns. He was put a plan to help "correct" his troublesome behavior, and 1-week later, without warning, we were contacted and told that he could no longer attend. On his final day, he came home and told us that his teacher told him he was leaving the school because he was a bad kid. The administration told us we should have him evaluated as his behavior was "troublesome". Against our better judgement, we had lengthy meetings with both our pediatrician and an outside evaluator, and both informed us that he was a perfectly normal 4-year-old. They both agreed that they thought something else was going on at the school that we had not been privy to. It's been 2 months since we left Goddard, and our son is a different person. He is so much happier, and his "spark" seems to be back. In summation, this school does not care about the children that attend. And the insinuation that something was "wrong" with our kid was beyond reproach. In retrospect, I am grateful our tenure was short-lived and would not recommend this school.

I have been taking my oldest son here for 2 and a half years and our youngest, who is now 6 months old, has been enrolled since 12 weeks. This center is beyond clean, BEYOND friendly and the teachers have taught my kiddos more than I ever could. They send me pictures, videos and potty updates all day long! During this COVID19 pandemic, this center was deemed essential. We are more than grateful and proud of the safety precautions they have taken to ensure our boys are safe and sound and HAPPY. If I can't have the boys home with me, there is no other place I would want them to be than in the care of these talented and loving individuals. To me, they are our family. If I could give this center a million stars, I would.

The misinformation and negativity on these review sites by various reviewers blows my mind…read moresometimes. This is the only daycare my daughter and son have been to in their entire lives. My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. The teachers at this KinderCare have taken care of them since they were about 6-8 weeks old and have done a great job. My kids love going here and look forward to going, and they are always in a good mood when I pick them up. The educational opportunities here are really great. Both my kids went through the phonics program which helped tremendously. They have done the cooking classes, the science classes, the music classes. There are so many. My kids have had a very stable group of teachers to work with at the facility. One thing that is so great is the public school bus at the nearby elementary school picks up and drops off at this KinderCare. Talk about convenient. And it is nice that my daughter rides the same school bus as the rest of the kids. The directors of this center have a tough job dealing with emotional parents and parents that are slow to pay their tuition for which they have to continually follow up with. We visited 4-5 daycare facilities before settling on this one. We also tried a nanny for a month before deciding that wasn't a fit for us. HANDS DOWN we are very happy we chose this KinderCare for our kids. Not all daycare centers are built the same, and this one is special with great people in it that will take good care of your child.

Every teacher knew both of my kids regardless of what room they were in and knew who their parents were. They always take the time to tell you about any concerns they have or to fill you in on your child's day. They genuinely care for the kids and the community. I was finally able to stay home with our children, that's the only reason our kids are no longer enrolled there. On our last day, there were tears cried by everyone and the teachers made cards for the kids. It was so touching and sweet to see how much they cared for our munchkins.
