They are brief in their summaries and tell you everything you could do rather than help guide you towards what you should do. They are particularly bad at pediatric dentistry. When my son was getting one of his first check-ups, it became evident he was missing two front teeth. The dentist proceeded to use the term "recessive gene" three times and claimed my family must have the same "recessive gene" problem -- we don't, neither do members of my wife's family -- and then made me feel stupid for not noticing this issue. New parents need to feel supported with their children's health. These dentists made me feel ashamed and confused. When my son was about to get his first cavity filled at 4 years old, the dentist first claimed it would be very challenging cause it was late in the day, then had us come back later in the week first thing in the morning, then gave up and referred us to pediatric dentistry, which we should have done in the first place. It was a tremendous waste our time and frankly I'm appalled by their righteous attitude. Also, they don't do direct billing, so be prepared to pay up front fully even if you have coverage. Don't get me wrong. These dentists are skilled and trained. They know dentistry. Their attitude sucks. I have seen medical specialists my entire life and I'm very attuned to who demonstrates care and who just treats appointments as work. Leaside made us feel like a job and not people. Severely disappointed in Leaside Dentistry.

They will also refuse to give you copies of your invoices citing that they do not keep it long, even only after one week. This is despite the law says that they have to keep it for a minimum of ten years at least, keeping in mind they still has from thirteen years ago for a cleaning, and since these new charges are fraudulent, they suddenly cannot find or don't have them, forgetting that you can get them from the insurance company directly and can find it online on the insurance website too, lousy people, take out he wrong teeth, fill the wrong tooth and double charge for xrays.

Since making the change I have have regular cleaning, one seriously broken tooth repaired and crown installed and can attest that the service Dr. Maryam provides is very professional, and lasts. In addition my wife had an emergency situation with her bridgework for which an appointment was immediately booked and bridgework resolved the following day. I also would like to add that the reception that Annette provides is welcoming and puts any anxiety I may have had at ease. I highly recommend their services.

It has the same address and suite where I had my orthodontic appointments. My orthodontist was Dr. Banack. A photo of him appears in this listing. However, the business is called Davis Orthodontics these days, so I hope Yelp will accept the name and URL changes. Dr Banack worked at two different locations. This one on the southwest corner of Coxwell and Danforth was for most appointments, from attending consultations, to getting your braces installed with regular monthly appointments. I only visited the Cedarbrae Mall location to get moulds and x-rays done on my teeth. I went there with my mom. I just remember the commute being long. If you lived in the Beaches as a kid and you needed your teeth straightened, Dr Banack was the area's orthodontist. He was competent, but he wasn't exactly the most friendly person with kids. I remember my first meeting with Dr Banack. My parents came with me. He looked at my teeth and said that I didn't brush them. I had eaten eggs for breakfast. Back then, my parents taught me to brush my teeth before a meal -- not after. I just remember him telling my parents that I had a lot of plaque on my teeth. It wasn't the best first meeting. I do have straight teeth and my dental hygienist today said that I keep my teeth clean. Maybe Dr Banack would be proud that I don't have a ton of plaque on my teeth as an adult. I would think that he has since retired. I don't see him listed on the Davis Orthodontics site. I wore braces for three years. I had soft foods after each tightening session. I have nice teeth. It's thanks to Dr Banack and his staff. I hope that the other orthodontists at this clinic aren't as harsh on kids as he was. (478)

I wasn't born with strong teeth and my mouth is full of bridges, root canals and fillings but it's because of their skills that I have a perfect bite with heathy teeth and gums. I have always been provided with the information needed to choose a treatment unless I am told that there was one choice for my best health.
