Well, the receptionist "helpfully" suggested I try to take the LIRR to Grand Central and then transfer to the 4/5 train. She said "well, it's the policy," so I told her to cancel all further appointments and f*ck right off. If you can't bend your policy when a client is not at fault, then you're not running a very compassionate business. I would feel differently if I canceled appointments on a regular basis, but I have literally never done so before. This is not a good way to retain clients.
