I love that they allow you to bring in your own food, alcohol, decorations, and don't force any "preferred" vendors down your throat. This truly helped us stay within our budget. The space itself is just beautiful and charming. High ceilings, lovely hardwood floors, plenty of greenery space surrounding the building to take pictures, and plenty of parking for our guests. They had all the tables and chairs we needed so we didn't have to rent anything and the facility manager was on site during our event so if there was an issue, she was able to assist. We just loved how helpful Cindy and Beth were. From the time we decided to use the space, to the day of our wedding, they were always quick to respond to any questions we had and were just overall helpful. The venue has space that is quite versatile and they setup the area to your needs. It was the charm of the exterior that really helped us make the decision as we knew we would have our celebration during the summer. They have a brick area out front (with lovely string lights that just make it soooo much cuter in the evening) where we ended up having a small ceremony and also used the space as just an area where our guests could come outside, sit, and mingle during our reception. They have a bridal suite, a pretty big kitchen for vendors to use during the event, and a good amount of restrooms for your guests. My husband and I couldn't have picked a more lovely place to have our wedding and am so happy that we went with our gut and stuck with our decision to utilize the Solarium. There are some moments where you just don't have the words to express how gracious you feel but I must say we loved everything about The Solarium and would reccomend this anyone!

I had to ask a couple of friends to help me with recycling so that all of the glass and plastic wouldn't go into the garbage. 2. I wish they would clean up the bride's room a little. This is the main room for the bride to get ready, and it's usually a mess. They call it the "art room" and wouldn't really help to de-clutter it for photos. Still, even with these issues, it's a great value for an in-town location and it's a beautiful part of Decatur's history. I love to shoot there, too!

The tentative plan was almost none of what I requested and the pricing was $4000-7000 OVER my max budget. Because most of what I requested at our first meeting was absent from the plan and pricing, I asked for a refund of MY $750. This was her RIDICULOUS Response: I'm so sorry we cannot refund your non-refundable deposit as we spent hours putting together your proposal and then hours letting all of our vendors go. How in the world could a company spend hours cancelling vendors that I never even approved. I didn't give her a go ahead for ANYTHING. I cancelled the contract within 48 hours of receiving Tammie's ridiculous proposal. She did offer to provide a STRIPPED DOWN VERSION OF THE EVENT. If I had wanted a STRIPPED DOWN EVENT, I wouldn't have tried to hire a planner.

I was pretty overwhelmed trying to organize a wedding in Atlanta where there are a million vendors for everything. The Wedding Box had a very clear understanding of my vision and budget. Stefanie would only refer vendors to me that she knew I would like and could afford but was also extremely willing to work with anyone that I had found on my own. This includes the awful, heinous, mean (think of every bad word you can come up with) woman at my venue that almost put me in tears (btw, I am NOT a crier). In addition, she would negotiate when necessary, which was essential to me because I am really not good at it. The day of the wedding certainly would have been a disaster without my awesome planner. He created two signature cocktails for me based on my theme and even included fresh ginger and other fun garnishes. He supplies cocktail napkins, straws, brings his own signage including a chalkboard sign describing the signature cocktails. My only regret is that I bought so much wine because no one drank any! They loved the signature cocktails that James and his team made. We also used him for table/chair rentals which was super easy and turnkey. Highly recommend hiring him for any of your party needs- you won't regret it!
