So I called Maroon's office in hope I can stop the rabbit hole of pain a pain dr.'s cortisone shots and or surgery. The first visit he went through my results with the images and my complaint/s then starting to work on the area that needed attention, he was straight forward and told me I will try my best and we can hope for the best, however there is a chance it may not work and at that point I will let you know as to not have you waste time or money. Within one visit I was still not back, but could tell that I chose the correct path and place. I must have gone two or three times before I would consider myself back to at least 85% better, now days are completely great (no pain) and at worst back to the 85%. I now know I made the correct choice at the correct time. I still go every once and awhile if I feel as though I pushed myself too much. I need to add that I truly was nervous and kept thinking how can I live in pain like this my whole life, I wouldn't get to play with my daughter nor work on without constant pain. I don't know how he did it but I am grateful and my mind is at ease now, so much that I cancelled my pain dr.'s apt. I would now consider Maroon a friend not only due to the help but because he is also, honest, to the point and connects with patients. Just drove over 16 hours last week and came home to cut down some trees and complete an assembly of a 400lb piece of equipment. my coworker referred me to him. I was in serious pain and was seen on the same day I made the call, that in itself is amazing. Upon arrival, the staff was professional and very concerned about my condition. They listened closely as I described my ailment and told me everything that they were doing. When Dr. Blake came in I was very nervous and she recognized my heighten state. She took her time examining me and throughout the process she remained very calm and explained what she was doing. She gave me her diagnosis along with a follow-up treatment plan. The staff then proceeded to take care of all the follow-up appointments needed, from booking my MRI to calling my PCP to get prior approval. That has never happened to me with any other Doctor's office. Usually I'm the one making all the calls. I wish I could give Boston Pain Specialist a perfect 10 but 5 is the highest on Yelp.
