I will never go back to the shoe repair store. I've taken several shoes there before had a few issues, but never this major. I only took my shoes in to have the latch replaced on the side because the leather loosened and I wanted to replace it before it came apart. the shoe cobbler suggested which I agree to, that I should replace the soles. when I got my shoes back, they were damaged. You can see the damage all around the side and the front of the shoes. The material was taken apart. He couldn't put it back together properly he put glue. It was missing the rope from the front of the shoes and the side of the shoes when I spoke to him about him, he had a terrible attitude. I will never go back there for any shoes. I should have paid attention to the reviews and yell from other people, do not take shoes here read more

BEWARE. Do not trust your valuable footwear here. I brought my Lucasse cowboy boots there to be resoled. Horrible work. Nail sticking into my foot. He did half soles, glued. (full stitched soles is correct) In 3 wears glue was coming apart. Nails were showing. To top it off, when I returned to show him, he adamantly DENIED he did the work! We argued. He got very angry. He agreed to fix again. Terrible experience. Mo I brought them to Bill's in Midland Pk to get my boots repaired properly. read more

I brought shoes here to have the heels replaced. At that time he did not give a ticket for my pick up. When I went back the next week, I told him that I did not have a ticket, he asked my last name, and gave me my shoes. At that time I had another pair to be repaired. Again he gave me no ticket. My husband was there both times. When returned for the last pair of shoes, I was alone. He kept insisting that he gave me a ticket, and when I tried to give him my name, he told me he was busy to come back later. When I insisted that he give me my shoes, he reached up on the shelf and handed me my shoes. Saying, "relax lady." Both my husband and I think I was mistreated because I am a woman. His workmanship was only ok. I would never return here! Go at your own risk! read more

I paid with a $50 bill that I thought was a $20. When I discovered the mistake and went right back to the store he wouldn't give me the correct change (I had given him $60 for a $30 job). He refused to acknowledge my mistake and he swore at me. read more

Thank you Interstate Shoe Repair! When Louis Vuitton refused to fix my zipper, this kind man did. He has fixed numerous shoes and his craftsmanship is amazing. The on my bag zipper is like new. WORST COBBLER I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS!! The man who is there is nasty and does not listen to what you want/need. They ONLY TAKE CASH, so you will lose your money if you are not satisfied or get what you asked for. Horrible service and craftsmanship. I have to take two pairs shoes to another place to have the soles done correctly. read more

Most terrible experience and customer service. I came in, asked if the straps on my sandals can be shortened, and I didn't even finish explaining my problem he turned away saying he can't fix it. He just left. My rating is zero. The guy is not interested in customers at all! read more

I am disgusted by this man's demeanor. He was rude, yelling at me as I entered and wouldn't even let me explain what was wrong. When I got my bag back, it was fixed incorrectly so that I couldn't use the handbag. Besides the horrible workmanship, his personality is the very worst part. He yelled at me for coming. I was absolutely shocked. I've never been treated so poorly. Shame on him. I need to find a new place. If I could give him zero stars, I would. read more

Tiny place, if you walk by too fast, you might miss it! LOL but if needed, they can quickly repair a heel on a shoe.

It's a CASH ONLY shop and the fee is payable at time of drop off ... No price list in the store and a VERY RUDE man who did not get my business as he yelled and cursed at me when I NICELY asked him if he would use a spray or a machine to slightly stretch a pair of fine leather boots ... I gave one star because the review would not be submitted otherwise. But it's really too bad we can't put "negative stars" because that place would have earned a few ! read more

I needed some customized work on my Cobra weight lifting gloves, and it was time sensitive. The job was done perfectly and within our time agreement. Completely happy. read more

We went in to have some holes punched in a belt. The men there were very nice and did it right away at no charge.

I'd give this guy zero stars if I could!! I took a Kate Spade bag to him to have the handles replaced because one detached. He replaced the leather straps with cardboard. They cracked in one day. When we went back to have them properly fixed, he denied ever working on it and refused to even look at the receipt proving that he did a horrible job. Save yourself and DO NOT GO HERE! He's a rude and horrible man that takes no any responsibility for his crappy work. Go anywhere else! It's ridiculous that's he even still in business!! read more

2nd time I ever went in there and it will be my last. He was so nasty, rude & disrespectful! Horrible person and I'd rather my shoes fell off my feet before I ever take a step into this place ever again! read more

Dropped off my sons UGGS that needed to be sewn.I paid $15 up front and was told it would take 5 days. When my husband picked them up they were still ripped and exactly in the same condition er brought them. The man started yelling (i was on the phone with my husband) and kept saying he put some leather inside. There is absolutely nothing in the shoes, he didn't so anything at all except steal $15! So sad we cannot trust anyone these days. I reported this to the BBB read more

I will never go back to this place again! I was regular costumer when there was Russian speaking man working there . Now is the different man , he is Spanish speaking .When I have told him that I did not like the work he is done with my shoe and asked him if he can fix the issue, he yelled at me, and told me that work is done well and he is not going to do anything ( at that point I have already paid him). I had to tell him 3 times not to yell at me. He was very rude. I left and promised him to leave a bad review .... read more

Six months ago, the Interstate shoemaker fixed the soles on a new pair of heels that I wore for the first time to a wedding. Fast forward to Saturday, I wore them for the second time to another wedding and the sole he put on was peeling off both shoes. I brought them back to Interstate today and he denied that he fixed them. He said he didn't even have that type of sole. We went back and forth and he eventually threw me out of the store. He does not stand behind his work. Incidentally, his brother worked there as well, so I suggested maybe he did it. He was very rude, hid out in the back of the store, all the while yelling at me to get out. I would not use him again. read more

Needs negative stars. This guy cursed at my polite wife who brought business to him. Expect this place to close with this kind of customer service. He's lucky I was not there with her! read more

I dropped off a new mens Feragamo dress shoe with scratch on toe for repair. I was charged $30 and upon pick up I saw he only put polish over top as I could have done that myself. "I said this has not been repaired, the scratch should have been buffed smooth first". He became irate screaming for me to pay and leave and to never come back. And I mean SCREAMING with the veins in his head bulging. I am a regular at Rago Brothers in Morristown so this is completely sub par work and treatment. Beware and heed the low rating on this business!! read more

this man is downright nasty. place is filthy. I brought my handbag which needed a few stitches, he wanted $20 up front. He claimed he had to sew the whole bag which is crazy. It was very bad quality. he left shriek marks on my shoes. He did not finish the job. The colors were totally different than what the actual shoe was. he also over charges for his work. I truly do not recommend this place. read more

He deserves zero stars. Terrible work. It's one thing to be rude but good at what you do. To be rude and also horrible at your trade is quite something. How he's still in business, I have no idea. I brought him a simple job (slightly loose soles on an older pair of hiking boots). When he finally deigned to come out from the back and speak to me, I asked if he could glue them back. He mumbled $15, pay now, which I did. He did a terrible job...visible glue on one shoe, with the sole misaligned and the other shoe's sole was loose again the first time I used them. I'm going to have to toss the shoes. I'm so thankful I didn't bring him shoes I actually cared about, because he'd have destroyed them. Never again. read more

Never got to actually fixing shoes here.. got yelled at for asking an estimated price for shoes repair.. literally raised his voice at me for asking a question.. then Kept yelling at me as I walked right out. Had kids with me which made this experience so much worse... that's unfortunate. Very rude and clearly has 0 communication skills and sense of customer service. I would not bring my shoes to this place even he was the best shoe maker in the world. Stay away if your don't want to get yelled at... what a shame. read more

If possible I would like to give the place no stars. My friend brought in a Givenchy bag, that he promised to remove two stains and fix the label. He fixed the label and forgot the stains, and when she mentioned to fix the stains he simply brought it to the back room (from which I could see him) and he sprayed the bag with a black spray paint. He created more of a mess and got black spray paint all over the white lettering of the bag. When we pointed this out he did not take the blame and made it sound as if it was more our fault. He then tried to fix it again with more spray paint, and again he got paint all over. When he brought the bag back again he started throwing stuff around and muttering angrily under his breath. This made us nervous to be in the business alone with him as he became increasingly angry so easily and was throwing things around out of frustration. Instead of taking the blame for the mess we watched him make, he denied it as his fault and simply blamed it on the bag's material (which had nothing to do with him spray painting the bag and getting different colors in the wrong spot). It was an expensive bag that went in with less than minor damages and came out completely ruined. Don't go to him. He is unreliable. read more

Not only was the man rude, he actually cursed at me. I went in to get tips put on my heels, and he insisted that I get soles too. I didn't need soles, just tips. Then he walked away and told me to much work. When I called him back out front from the back he started yelling at me, cursing in Spanish (my best friend is Spanish so I can understand the context of what he was saying) and waving his arms at me. I asked him what the problem was and he told me to get out. I walked out and went to right this review because of how bad the service was and saw all the rest of the reviews. Wish I would have read them first and saved myself the trip. read more

If I can, I will give zero stars for this shoes repair store. I give it a try to this shop and I was unpleasant surprised by the way the owner wasn't able to engage a new customer at all; for a moment I thought that he forgot his medicines at home. In less than seven second I woke away faster than ever. For that reason I took my stuffs away and bring it to Ridgewood shoes repair shop where I paid with 20% more with all my heart. read more

The guy who runs the place (probably owner) is very rude. He's a terrible business man. His prices are very high. He nickels and dimes customers for everything. I needed a small piece of Velcro put on two purse straps because he originally put them in the wrong spot. He wanted $10 more. When I told him I didn't think I should have to pay, since he made the mistake, he became defensive and told me he wouldn't do the job. Also... in my prior experiences, I realized he was very disorganized. It always took him awhile to find my items. There seemed to be no system whatsoever. I simply went there for convenience, but never again. The guy is a creep! read more

Good service, quality work. Reasonably priced shoe repair. Punched holes in my belt for free! Very helpful staff. They fix purses too!

I have been here twice. Definitely twice too many. He is unpleasant, yelling at customers. And his work is inferior. So, customers come in, inspect his repair, find fault, to which he yells at them. There are certainly better and absolutely more pleasant shoe repair shops. read more

Stay away from the shop. The owner is out of his mind. Sent my daughter to get heel tips put on several pair of shoes. He told her they have to have the soles also. She's young and didn't know the difference and then he charged over $100 to the credit card. I went back 1/2 hr later And told him I do not want soles on the shoes. He was Yelling at me and he's very difficult to deal with. He gave me the shoes back but said I had to come back 4 days later to reverse the charge on the credit card. I called the credit card company and explained this to them. He still is not reversing the charges. This man is a crook and a very poor businessman. read more

Shabby Work and Rude: This shoe repair store ruined my shoes and the merchants of the store are rude. The repair was to glue a portion of the sole back onto the shoe. The side of the shoe was covered in thick glue which wouldn't come off. When I brought this to their attention, they started to speak a foreign language excluding me from the conversation, threw their arms up in the air and dismissed me by walking to the back of the store. I paid full price and ended up with ruined shoes. I would never use this shoe repair store again! read more

The owner of this place is extremely rude. I sent my shoes to this place for fixing the heel and ask the owner to clean it once done. He agreed and charged me $12 for fixing + cleaning.
