Business class was extremely comfortable, the food was excellent, and the customer service was beyond reproach. Definitely recommend flying Swiss air for overseas travel.

I am currently in a country that does not have Yelp yet (there's quite a few!!!), but I can review…read morethe airplane company that brought me there in October 2025 and let's just say... Swiss Airlines made for a rough start to my vacation. You'd think that a company based and run by one of the wealthiest and most expensive countries in the world would be quite nice, but they definitely cheap out on everything!!! (Where does all the money go?) Yes, I was in economy class, so I shouldn't expect the red carpet laid out for me but my 4 hour flight on Swiss Air was rough, chaotic, and messy from the start. From the disorganized boarding in a very basic airport (more on the Zurich airport in its own review later) to the odd food choices to the stupid emergency exit seats we were delegated to sit in, I just counted the seconds, waiting for it all to be over. The plane clearly hadn't been updated since we the 90s - the seats were uncomfortable, our leg space was constantly having to be used up by other passengers in line for the bathroom (which smelled immediately as it kept getting clogged), and the safety video was nightmare fuel. And who thought it was a good idea to make the in-flight magazine online only? On a plane where we can't get wifi on? The stewardess' and pilots were nice and clearly going through the chaos as well so I absolutely respect the staff, 100%. The dessert in the meal was also quite tasty as well. But yeah, I won't be trying to fly on Swiss Air again anytime soon.

That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain. Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgAiN.

Everyone was encouraged to keep their masks on the entire flight. Meals were hot, desserts were yummy. Upon arrival to Zurich airport, you are not in the city of Zurich. Follow the signs and you'll get to a sub train on the lower floor. Exit the train you want to head toward Airport Shopping area across the street, and find the area called the Circle downstairs. You'll be able to find the ticket machines to take the train into Zurich HB. If you need the language in English, the option should be on the right hand corner on the screen. Exiting Zurich HB, you'll find yourself in the middle of the beautiful city of Zurich. Also if you are looking for high quality chocolate for cheap - Cailler, Sprungli, Frey, and Frigor are brands you can't get in the states. You'll find Cailler on Amazon but it's $20 a bar compared to $2.50 per bar in Switzerland.

Furthermore, they said I should not bring my own can of redi-whip because it contains aerosol and is not permitted on board. I am disappointed that I won't be able to enjoy my favorite mile high beverage, but my inquiry was met with courtesy and patience. That is why I still give 5 stars. Note: A Schlitz cocktail is a can of Schlitz beer (the best of the Midwest) served with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I personally like to add the flourish of a crazy straw that spells my name "J-E-R-E-M-Y," but that is optional.

They have some newer Bombardier C series aircraft, but also some older A-340s. The service is always great, and I find the food to be one of the best in the industry. Plus they give you ice cream on the cross-Atlantic flights, as well as swiss chocolates on some of the flights. The booze selection is pretty decent, and I find that I like Swiss beers more than most. Never a lost bag, and most of the flights are on-time.

The woman in front of me, however, was allowed to keep her Swiss Army Knife (that exceeded maximum length and had 10 blades) and take it in the plane with her. 9/11 terrorists used box cutters, but Zurich Airport OKs knives, but seizes an olive spread? The hotel I was promised next to the airport when I accepted being bumped because they had overbooked the plane had no rooms, so they put me in a terrible hotel in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were very small and the dinner buffet, the only option even though I was promised a €20 meal credit, was terrible. I also had to wake-up an hour earlier (5:30 am) than I would have because I had to catch a shuttle instead of walking to the terminal as I had been told I could from the airport's Raddison. I am posting this via my SIM because Zurich Airport's Wi-Fi is also useless, just like their security screening procedures.
